What you're describing is working as intended and is not a bug. If you want to queue for a dungeon, you need to meet the requirements, however if you want to run it as a premade (or solo) you can just walk in the door or port directly inside.

It's intentional, though an outdated mechanic.

Idea was if you were too low level to contribute in the dungeon, it wouldn't let you randomly group with other players for it, because you'd be dead weight.

The game no longer works that way though, level is scaled automatically so at most you'd be a bit low on skills but still functional.

And if your character was level 18 with 1200 CP you'd likely be fine too.

The front door is a workaround in case you want to try soloing the dungeon yourself, or forming a group that knows in advance you're on a low level character. They won't be surprised with getting a lowbie on a "harder" dungeon.

What counts as 'low level' should probably be changed to consider CP these days, and the old CP value of 300 should be raised for vet dlc dungeons in my opinion.
