The queue for PC NA Gray Host is broken

Whatever you guys did in the last patch has completely broken the queue for PC/NA Gray Host campaign in Cyrodiil. Every night from about 8:30 to 11:30 EST one or more of our guild has the same problem: you get into queue, wait it out from some number in the 50's or higher, but then the number get stuck and stops going down. The queue doesn't move past that number for you even though others queued for the same campaign (some who started with higher numbers than yours) are riding out the queue and getting in just fine. When you try to leave the queue you get a message saying "you are not queued for that campaign". In order to re-queue you have to completely quit the game and usually when you get back in it's at a higher number than the first time. Some nights this happens consecutive times.

I know prime time is busy, but those are the hours we can play on weeknights. I'm prepared to wait out long queues - but this is unacceptable. Some nights I can't get in at all, and it's not just me. This happens to me or some random other member of my group every night since the last patch (v7.1.6) and it never happened before. My group has members from across the country and some from overseas and the problem doesn't seem to be localized to any particular area. I'm in CA, but it has happened to others from MO and even to a member from Sweden, so it has to be from your end. Please look into this. Thank you.

That explains things. Last night I was in the queue. After a few minutes I looked up and saw I was number 2 so I figured I would only have a few more minutes to wait. Well, over ten minutes had passed and I was still only 2 away from entering Cyrodiil and that is odd to wait that long when you are at the top of the queue. I gave up after 10-15 minutes of waiting like that.

So I think you are correct that something is wrong.

I’ve experienced this as well. The queue stalls, even as guild mates who queued after me make it through the queue and get in. Relogging and requiring is the only way to fix it.

A lot of people have been getting stuck in Q lately. People will get stuck at a number like 22 and then people who Q up after them will get in before they do. What OP has described is exactly what happened to three people in my group last night.

Yep. Same here, more or less. I didn't get the "not queued for that campaign" though. It just tried to unqueue me forever.

I got this bug again today! I Queued up for Grayhost Cyrodiil today and I got the Q bug, many people in my guilds have had the same experience. I wait in the Q, the Q stops at a random number for over 30 minutes. I relog and then have to reQ at which point the Q is much larger. My personal ticket number is 210917-005880.

2 other people in my pvp guild experienced it tonight as well.

P.S. I emailed Customer support for updates about this issue with my specific ticket number included and they emailed me back with suggestions for the PVE group finder tool, which was not what my ticket was about.

Happened to me a night or two ago. Realized after 45 minutes my queue wasn't going down anymore.

This adds a new dread to queuing for Cyrodiil. If the number doesn't move for a while are you completely stalled or is the queue just slow. No way to know...

This has happened to me twice this week while queuing for Gray Host. Each time it meant not playing that night because I didn't have time to wait in queue again.

It was identical to what the OP described. I noticed my position in the queue wasn't progressing, so I left the queue and received the "you are not queued for that campaign" message and I needed to log out in order to attempt to enter the campaign again.

This may be an old thread from 2021 but zos has managed to bring back this same old bug back with the most recent patch. Twice last week my group queued for gray host, both nights half of us ended up with bugged queues and had to log out and start over, some of us multiple times. Took over an hour to get everyone into the campaign.

Last night solo queueing for Blackreach got the same bug.
