Is pulling Players down from walls and roofs with Dark Convergence an exploit?

Too many people are using it that way for it to be an exploit, can't really block the entire pvp community. Some may even figure its an intended use of the set since its so widespread and they haven't said anything about it.They just need to fix this fast.

I would say yes as long as it has an effect on the ground it will proc DC.

Here is something to think about with proc sets. If a player is using DC and Hrothgar and they get into the zerg group. If the player can survive for say 8 seconds, the zerg group would be wiped especially if they used Caltrop as the ability to proc both sets.

The new PVP sets, definitely need to be looked into.

I also thought that if there is a fixed ground AOE from seige, that it should proc Dark Convergence, but it does not.
I tested with Dark Convergence & fire ballista, meatbag catapult & fire treb... none of them proc'd the Dark Convergence.
But it is pretty easy for a wall defender to throw down an AOE like caltrops in the same area as the siege is hitting to proc the DC.

The resistance to this has got to start from somewhere. I would just make sure its a repeat offender and maybe not someone like me whose just using the set in general and -not- actively trying to exploit.

Dark Convergence should be nerfed any minute now because I just got the set. Might try it out tonight.

I haven't been pulled off of a wall yet but have been pulled right to the edge where I get stuck and am unable to move. That has happened a few times.
Also seems to be pulling me in when I think I am well outside the circle. That could just be lag and the server not thinking I am where I think I am.
On a side note I decided to do some battlegrounds a few nights ago. I saw Hrothgar’s Chill in every death recap but one and in many recaps I saw the chill from two or three players. Usually not what killed me but it sure contributed. Going to have to rethink my build a bit for battlegrounds or quit sprinting. Seems more players are trying to stun to take advantage of the set so I run out of stamina really quick. That is what kills me.

In order to use handheld ranged weapons, you need to be fairly close to the edge of the wall to fight attackers or you aren't able to get the right angle. This also applies in most cases to siege weapons if you are trying to stop rams, or if early enough players trying to kill the guards. This also puts you in range of players on the ground - which is fine. PVP combat should always allow you the means to fight back.

Getting pulled off the wall into AOE zones from meatbag catapults or groups of players looking for falling players doesn't give you many options. Even if you don't end up on the ground, you can find yourself in places that are difficult to escape from. One example is at keeps - if you are using oils on the inner front door attackers. There's a small ledge on the inside of the main hole that I've found myself dragged onto a couple of times. While trying to jump back over that, onto the roof proper, I've been either CC'd and shot multiple times or hit with DC again and landing on the ground in that area is not a recipe for survival.

I've also been dragged off an outside wall.

Just like, stand back a bit instead of at the very edge? If you stand at the very edge you're asking for trouble. If you need to stand there then block cast and you can't be chained.
Idk what it is with players asking the devs to dumb down the game instead of using the tools at their disposal to overcome a threat, it's supposed to be PvP, players using unconventional tactics to get one up on their opponents should be rewarded, not punished.

The lack of communication in general regarding these sets and the recent landslide decline in performance in pvp has been disturbing.
