Am i overcapping speed with a setup that has:

Medium Armor 3 pieces: 12%
Wild hunt ring: 15%
Jewlery 3x swift: 18%
Major expedition: 30%
Wood elf: 5%

This is all i can think of increased my speed, as far as i know the cap speed inc is 100%? The above caluclation gets me to 80% BUT does "sprinting" add speed on top of all the above? And by how much?

When you're sprinting you theoretically reach 220% (+40% iirc), but due to the cap you'll only get 200% increase.
In other words, you have 20% "too much".

Farily obviously wild hunt's 15% in combat. I think 45% out. So you wont even need to sprint out of combat.

Also remebber there's a passive CP that gives 20% increased movement speed. Can't log in so not sure if in / out combat.

Sprint = 40% (which medium armor increases)

Steed Blessing for 20% speed out of combat, Celerity for 10% speed anytime

The 12% from Medium Armor is only while sprinting. So you're at +68% without sprint in combat, and +120% with it, as someone mentioned above.

I'd personally go for Steed Stone and Celerity to get up to 90%+ movement speed without sprint. It's fun and often helpful to be able to use abilities while moving that fast, whereas sprinting locks you out of using abilities. My stamsorc build gets to like 96% without sprint, which is really fun for battlegrounds and dueling and IC.

I use Fyrakin Mini Map mod to measure move speed %. (You have to go into the mod settings and go down the list to set % for the Speed output). For testing I usually goto a non-DLC zone and run along the roads.

Anyways, so move speed is very important. These days there are many ways to improve move speed. Typically ... if I really care about maxing out Speed% I will buff move speed up to 190% and hold it there. If I can get more - fine. This is because there are some things that grant minor expedition and move speed is soft capped at 200%. So if you're snared and your move speed is over 200% then you'll get the difference and will move faster than usual. But typically 190% is enough.
