Deadlands dlc

What do you think the new dlc will add?

My guess is a new companion and maybe some new mythics.

I also would like to see a new solo instance added, something like the previous arenas but not exactly that, although I don't think that we will get it. My guess is just a map with delves and a public dungeon or two.

New companion, new mythic, new crown exclusive house, probably 3 subconstellation in the Green CP with 3 new slottables each, no new arena (we seem to be getting those every other year), maybe a new trial but probably not.
Lot's of new Dagon lore. Possibly some Battlespire lore, possibly some Breton lore and the ancestral Breton motif since there is some connection there (source), but that might also just be wishful thinking.

    My guess are :
-> 2 Mythics (Like Markarth, half less mythics than in Q2)
-> 1 Companion (Again, if we follow the logic, Q4 should bring half less "things" compared to Q2)
-> 1 Arena (Since Vateshran was a big success, I doubt they'll not keep adding solo arena each year in Q4)
    -> Companions Proc set, maybe
-> Remove Dark Convergence and Hrothgar (JK, tho these set need to be fixed XD)
    -> Green tree sub constellation

And the most important thing :
-> You can finally play a "Quest" with the "Lusty Argonian Maid"
    I'm a single character man.
    Stamblade. Khajiit. Mostly pvp.
    And...that's it.

Like the people above mentioned all of that really.

Hope this Q4 is a little bit bigger than the normal DLC zones we get since it is a Daedric Princes realm. But we will see.

Did see on twitch that Rich mentioned something happening with the sticker book and that he has plans for something better than a token system when it comes to collecting gear. So looking forward for more info about that.

Hope we get to really fully explore the Deadlands in all its glory and not a smallish zone.

From what I heard I don't think we are getting "the Deadlands" but we just visit a part of it. So it'll probably be normal DLC size.

The new Dread Cellar dungeon gives me hope for battlespire content. I would love to play a battlespire arena even if it isn't in Q4.

Some datamined items make me think that Falinesti will finally be added to the game as possibly the safe main city location in the deadlands, which would be equivalent to the Hollow City in Coldharbour. However, if it does get added I doubt the missing Imgas will be present. Although ZOS did do a great job adding so many furstocks to the game with Elsweyr do maybe we'll see them literally hanging around.

    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Does it mean they're working on a way of getting the missing last pieces of a set that just refuse to drop for some people? Thinking of those "I ran Arx 200+ times and still don't have Medusa staff" threads here.

What i think we may see

-The usual story quest, daily quest, delves, worldboss, world event and armor set

    - we may or may not visit Falinesti as there is hint linking it to the deadland, like the Malabal tor falinesti site quest where a mage manage to open a portal to what she think is falinesti
    - It look like an oblivion gate, Daedra poured out of it as soon as it openned

-Possibly an arena(not nessesary a solo one) that will drop weapon tied to the ultimate abilities(the only one left) these weapon may be stronger than the other one due to the nature of ultimates

-2 mythics and some other antiquities

-1 new companion, most likely a sorc
Due to me guessing that it will be a base game class and its more popular than templar(just from my observation, it may be false)
It will most likely be tied to the epilogue as it is likely to require blackwood

-possibly a new system, some of them, the sticker book and the transmute system came with a Q4 dlc

We shoud hear about it in the month of september or very early october if other years schedule is followed

Q4 dlc normaly release in november
Lets guess the middle of the month for pc and the end of the month for console as it could be a bit later and a bit earlier both

That would place the pc release on monday the 15th (right in th midle of the month)
As i understand a pts cycle is usually 5 weeks of patch then a free week and then pc release on week 7

That would place the pts start on october 4th

We usually get a reveal stream the friday before it
So in this case october 2nd

It’s been many years since I’ve thought about this but I remember thinking ZOS was setting up Falinesti to possibly being stolen and found to have been moved to Mephala’s realm. I’m paraphrasing but Mephala does tell us in Reapers March that “the Lost City is trembling in her webs.”

I would be a big fan of a Spiral Skein chapter with the reveal of Falinesti trapped in their realm of oblivion.

I understand your concerns. ESO's vanilla content focused on quantity over quality, while DLC zones are definitely of a higher caliber. My character is a High Elf and from a RPG perspective I love wandering around Summerset, but for the most part the only time I go to Auridon is when I want to turn in some event tickets.

Orsinium and Murkmire are other examples of quality content that allow the players to explore in better detail the culture of a particular race.

The problem with the Bosmer as you mentioned is that ZOS essentially did all of their zones in the vanilla content so you got quantity from the start, but it was definitely not quality content.

No matter how one tries to swing it, Falinesti will not return to Tamriel till the onset of the Second Aldmeri Dominion which is a long ways away on the timeline. Of course, just like the Clockwork City there is nothing in the lore preventing us from finding it's new location outside of Tamriel. However unlike the Clockwork City, if you consider the sizes of the seasonal sites in-game that Falinesti is supposed to migrate to one can't really expect it to be anything more than a Bosmer city of adequate size that would not encompass an entire zone. So even if it not in the Deadlands it could be in the Spiral Skein, but if that's the case the city would essentially just be a hub and not the primary focus of the content, which is unfortunate.

Falinesti in any form that ZOS' makes it take is one of the top five things I want to see in this game and I for one would not be surprised to see it here. If it is here I hope it is done justice and truly shows us the awesomeness of Bosmer culture. If it's not well ZOS can always go back to the Hunting Grounds, which would be a much cooler realm for Falinesti to be in. ZOS could bring back reformed version of The Hound in some manner. IMO this realm would allow for the culture of the Bosmer to be the focus of a chapter and there could be new Bosmer locations that were specifically built in the Hunting Grounds around Falinesti, but that's just me spitballing what I would like to see in terms of content.

The problem with the Bosmer as you mentioned is that ZOS essentially did all of their zones in the vanilla content so you got quantity from the start, but it was definitely not quality content.

I thought the Bosmer content was of good quality. Which parts did you feel were of poor quality?

We might see a new arena--probably a 4-man one since there hasn't been a new one since Murkmire. If that's the case, then hopefully the weapons are decent this time. Since weapon ultimates are the only abilities left to alter on those skills, I imagine the next arena weapons will change those in some way. (Hopefully there will be some juicy bleed bonuses on Lacerate)

As far as everything else, probably just the same as we usually get. Two delves, two world bosses, a handful of skill points, six new sets and post-main-quest story to wrap up the gates of Oblivion year.

A Deadlands zone. But unlike Coldharbour's Hollow City which exists due to Meridia pranking Molag Bal, we'll probably have a "hub city" in an interstitial plane (like Battlespire) with Gates to travel into the Deadlands. I doubt Mehrunes will be OK with a bustling city in the middle of Deadlands...

Visually, the Bosmer content is pretty poor. You can also make much more beautiful furniture from bones, leather, etc. than what is available until now.

I think this is implied in the prologue quest. We only see a backdrop there, but Fargrave has its own architectural style. It looks close enough this picture that was uploaded for the DLC announcement. I doubt that the developers would go to the trouble were it not the base of the DLC. As I recall, Lyranth says that they'll need to go back there at some point.

Tbh. I am kinda disappointed that q4 DLC will actually take place in Deadlands (outside of the map, just like Coldharbour)... but then Blackwood did not really felt like a proper Argonian chapter or Imperial chapter... It felt like idk umm nondescript ?

Adding another zone dlc, even if it had an Imperial or Argonian theme would not change that. So maybe that is for the best. Maybe Argonians & Imperials will get a proper separate year - long story chapters in the future.

Kind of hope for some Battlespire relation at the very least. Story content aside personally want a new arena (1 or 4 man), mythics and some new feature slash qol like gear or entire spec swaps bit surely I'd only get new mythic and I'm fine with that tbh if they would spend any more time on performance side of things. I hope we'll have a break from companions as it would be a dread leveling another one for those couple achievement points to have DLC on 100% again. But some work on them would be appreciated, a lot of people still like them.

Edit: would be surprised if we won't find Falinesti there as I thought it was sole reason to bring Sharparrow there.

You are right - it does not "have to be". I mean it is not written anywhere or something. My point is, when it actually is focused around certain race & it's lore - It makes for a way better experience. Wrothgar, Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr - those "chapter" size zone have a theme based on each of ESO's playable race and that makes them stand out. Even Murkmire (that is a small story dlc) has a distinct Argonian theme and it makes the whole zone & its story an awesome experience.

Greymoor & Blackwood on the other hand are a different story. In Greymoor, Nord race & it's lore feels more like a background, while story is focused more on Vampires. It does not have too many things that would focus on Nordic culture. Tbh. Markarth felt way better since it was heavily focused on Reach people and various tribes.

Blackwood also suffers from similar issue. It feels bland. Argonian tribes feels more like a background to the plot (while in Murkmire those felt like an actual part of the zone and not like something that is out of place). Also, Blackwood plot feels kinda cliche tbh.

For some of us, one of the most interesting aspects of TES is the culture of its people. A DLC set in Cyrodiil is an opportunity to explore what Cyrodiils are like, which isn't something that any TES game has done very well.
It doesn't have to be focussed on a race. Clockwork City and Thieves Guild barely represented one race over an another, but for the size of the DLCs, they had rich, cosmopolitan cultures of their own. But we already know a bit about Redguards and a some stuff* about Dunmer and it's worth taking that deeper.

*That's an understatement, but the two Great Houses that didn't feature in TESIII have yet to be developed even in ESO. Whereas I think it would be reasonable to put Houses Redoran and Telvanni in the background of DLC set in the remaining regions of northern Morrowind. Although even House Redoran unanswered questions like what exact rules comprise their "honour" and whether any of them resemble Ada'tyool Vren from the 1999 interview.

We just got used to the fact that each new part is limited within a certain province. Although Daggerfall no longer fits into the framework of such a concept, and according to rumors, TES6 will also be limited to only one province. Now we have a Dagon theme, a story that concerns the Long House dynasty. In my opinion, to conclude everything strictly within the bounds of procision is somehow banal.

My understanding of the Blackwood zones lack of focusing on one race , was that the zone had previously been a "contested" area with Argonians and Imperials and sometime Khajiit fighting over the area due to the river that leads to the Imperial city.
