Console Options still NOT saved once you close the game

it's annoying every time I log on ,I have to remove myself from area chat, and fiddle with brightness/HDR controls because now more then ever the game looks dark and drab

I switched mine to "vibrant" and that is saved. But yes, the area chat thing has been happening to me for years...very annoying.

when I log on brightness, hdr brightness, and hdr mode all need to be reset, idk what I'm doing wrong then....

same thing for me everytime i log in i have to change brightness , change hdr brightness and hdr mode its been almost 3 months so annoying fix your game please

Re-do my brightness.
Re-do my HDR.

Every time I load the game up. It's a nuisance. When will this be fixed??

I did some reading about involuntary voice chat in other games - and it seems like that is legally against TOS from the player side - so I am wondering if / when this will actually be addressed & fixed?

Just a thought, but have you tried deleting the game save/settings file?

Yes! This happens every *** time on Xbox series x for me. Ridiculous.

I'm also on Xbox Series X, nothing fixes this for me, redownloading the entire game/deleting save files, nada same issue

it's horse ***. I actually had the problem before the last patch. All the patch did was add items that reset while not fixing any others that were already broken. I made a thread on the xbox page and got crickets. Has anyone with zos let us know that they're at least looking into it? Problems happen, but feeling ignored by devs of a game you pay a monthly subscription fee? That will create hostility real quick and with good reason. Hopefully there's been an acknowledgement that I missed.

Every time I log in and find myself in area chat I make an in-game complaint via the help under options. Maybe if enough people take the time to do that for a few weeks they will fix the issue.

I had to scroll back 31 pages as search doesn't work for me, but in this thread Gina said they are working on making the leave area chat persistent but there isn't a release date for it

Thanks for the info, they just seem to take a long time to fix issues in this game, like the merchant/craft bag bug on console a few months back, currently bthar-zel is still crashing my system, all these things add up and dampen my enthusiasm for the game, I find myself playing less
