I know kill stealing is a thing but

This is something completely else. The inability to fire off any skills when player is in execute/last hit range until like the 5th try.. This happens over and over. And not just with one skill. Jabs, executioner gap closers (especially), any ultimate ect...just enough to allow them to attempt to heal up. Not only that but the delay for players to completely run out of the ultimate and then it fires afterwards. I have all swift jewelry. Something is very wrong here. I've played since the very beginning so I know some of this is normal to a certain degree but it is barely playable. I still manage to get decent stats. But its almost like playing blind or from memory. Light attack weaves dont show proper animation. Hits most times don't even register damage, every thing just looks like wet noodles hitting. And I'm full damage spec. High pressure in and out. All this specifically pertaining to BGs. Comat has become so cluncky. I remember when it actually used to seem fluid and flow. Now deaths with no actual incoming indicators. I feel like my whole game is like 5 seconds behind what is actually going on. Did they change the speed of 2h light and heavy weaves? Because everything seems slower. I thought next generation consoles would actually help performance now seems worse even in performance mode.

    not sure which is more frustrating - having skills not work when you're trying to finish a fight and execute someone, or having skills not work when someone is trying to execute you...

    I was in a battleground this afternoon where everyone just stood in their upright positions and no skill animations showed at all. Strangest thing I've ever seen.
    But didn't stop ultimates not going off and refilling. You'd hear incap three or four times before you actually got hit by it.

    Sorry, but the state of the game is worse than I've ever seen it. Even killing mobs in Betnikh experience severe lag spikes now. I fire a light attack, dizzy, medium, execute combo. Light attack registers, the rest doesn't register for a good 2-3 seconds and boom! spider goes from full health to dead.

    What is happening?! How is this not the most embarrassing display? How is this not number one priority above all else? It should be.

    Content means nothing to me when the core game is unplayable.

    While the game may not be 'unplayable' in the strictest sense of the word, there are clearly times when people who use that expression merely mean that the game is hardly worth playing at that time, in that condition of responsiveness....
    The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

    I'm making a lazy Heavy Attack build and I can't count the number of time the lightning staff beam wont connect to target until 3-4 try <.<

    So annoying..

    The oddest thing I had is CM telling me a fight lasted 10 seconds with dozens of hits by different players on me, but my own memory only recorded 1-3 seconds which felt like CC and instant death.

    Despite all the problems BG is still fun and great with my reckless playstyle. What better game is out there? NWG has no controller support

    Yep, its the changes to support the stadia platform that are to blame.

    For me it's the latter. So many fights I could have prolonged had the heal button I pressed 5+ times would have cast.

    I like the new mini rubber banding effect that happens where I move real slow then normal speed then real slow again and in between some times I bounce back a bit...

    "Playable" is a subjective term. It sounds like you're fine with lag spikes that last 2-4 skills. I'm not. I don't think I'm asking for too much from a game that I purchased that advertised large scale, reactive combat. There's only so much patience I have when I get stunned and I watch my character go through 3 break free animations while the enemies around me bash my skull in.

    Yesterday, I had to relog in Cyro 3 times, twice because the game crashed (which is new this patch), and once because leap broke again (been a bug reported for years and STILL happens). My wife had to relog multiple times too because her toon stopped sprinting. No incident or anything, just boom, can't sprint. Stamina goes down, but her speed doesn't increase.

    Is this "playable"? Am I wishing for too much?

    I was repairing a wall in cyro today and was suddenly on the other side of the wall. no enemies, no pull, just pop... im on the other side. I think the game might be ready for the trash heap, it's wacky all over. I was also standing next to a wall and was suddenly standing on the other side last night. its as if I had a positional desynch without inputting data. I was simply moved

    So I quit like 2 years ago mainly just because I wanted to do other things with my free time other than tracking on the cyro leader boards.

    I came back last summer (doing it again now the cient is updating) and I had very similiar experience as /u/paulychan. I ran into a keep battle and I was shunted to a different instance of the keep. I could still see the damage being done to the keep as it happened but there were no players. Then I tried to reloadui and was banished into the netherworld of endless white void and endless falling.

    Not only that but the ability to use your skills should not be something you question if you hit the button and you aren't on cooldown it should do a thing.

    I want to play cryo but, I just want a cyro that is actually functional

    Have had this happen, and think it is more to do with the shape of the repaired wall, which can move you to other side when fixed.

    It can also be if the keep has changed alliances, as are different designs so again, if they are being fixed, it changes where the walks are. Have had this happen to a group hiding inside a keep; when keep taken, shape changed & group outside wall!

    Now since commenting, there is a new mechanic, that involves respawning to show my toon running slightly sideways, at an even slower speed than normal (with wild hunt equipped). And continually having to break free with no one around to be applying the status effect. And keeps happening even after several respawns the rest of the match.

    I actually really love this game but this is making the frustration grow.

    And the most frustrating part is not knowing where and when to tweak a build vs just performance issues. I find myself going though gear upgrading and re-theory Crafting only to circle back to what I was originally running. Every patch this cycle happens. When performance is fine melt everything when it struggles straight wet noodling.

    And yet it seems other players not affected by this one bit. Potions fire immediately, skills and break free no problem.

    I genuinely hope this all gets ironed out. It's not a threat of leaving, by any stretch as I do overall enjoy the game. Just hope to see it start getting back on track. And having more of a level playing field again.
