PS5: You can no longer use arrow keys on keyboard to select previous message

Normal chat and quick chat now both pop up the keyboard dialog on PS5, in which it is not possible to select the previous or next message with the UP and DOWN cursor on the keyboard.

When hitting ENTER on the keyboard, you were able to type straight in the text field of the chat in the bottom right corner before this patch, and you could use UP and DOWN arrow to cycle through your older messages.

Besides this, it's is a major annoyance that you popup a HUGE chat window over my game, when I'm typing with my keyboard.
I understand that this is necessary for controller chat, but please remove this when using a keyboard.

Or add the same annoying dialog to the PC version, and see how long that lasts

I've noticed this too. This means that if I'm to recruit for my guild, I'd have to manually type my recruitment message for each zone that I travel in. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Yes, please god stop the big keyboard coming up whenever I type. Really annoying. Whoever did this should be shot

Another downside of the keyboard popup is that when you want to whisper to someone, you are not able to select the correct name from the list the used to appear.

I've found out that you can go to the three dots at the bottom of the keyboard display, you can hit "select all". Then, you can use CTRL-C and CTRL-V to copy and paste. You can't include anything link in chat using this method however.
