Xbox Series S - v1.25.0.0 - Zone Voice Chat Bug Still Not Patched
Tittle says it all, really. It's still putting me in zone chat every time I log in, no matter what my settings are. This was announced as fixed two patches ago and is still a problem.

Tarbs01✭✭If I remember right, they never actually said they fixed us being placed in zone voice chat. They fixed us being placed in zone voice chat with our mic turned on. I don't remember seeing ZOS say they were going to stop putting us in area voice by default every time we log in. Even though most of us would be quite happy to never be in area voice.

Avoranti✭✭✭✭✭It’s still bugged on PlayStation as well. Hate logging in and being placed in area chat. People have no sense of awareness and make all kinds of gross sounds, like eating snacks and clearly chewing with their mouths open, or breathing into the mic in a very unpleasant way, they play loud music or are just rude for no reason. Every time I log in I hear this kind of stuff. It’s very annoying.

Before that update, you could leave zone chat permanently. It remembered on your next log in. They broke something that remembers your settings. Believe me, it didn't used to be this way.1 -
wittyfox✭It's really annoying, before I start a game on my series x, I have to adjust the brightness (which resets) and leave the area chat. I know if only takes a couple of minutes, but it should have been fixed by now.0 -
It is the same for PS4 NA.
Isn't it great, logging in to immediately hear some knob eating into a hot mic, yelling at their kids, listening to loud [snip] music [snip]
