Unable to collect "Brondold's Journal" after completing "A Gathering Storm" Quest in Western Skyrim

As the title states, I was completing the Greymoor Chapter with a friend and during the quest "A Gathering Storm" she collected the book from the backpack which then completed that step for me, it was not till we finished the quest and i checked the map that the books icon was still on my map and i was unable to interact with the backpack. more so, unlike some previous quests where all notes/documents would be scattered nearby the end of the quest, i was unable to find the book anywhere. i have been through quite a journey with CS about this and was told to make a post on here, apologies in advanced for any formatting errors as this is my first time posting here.
The Steps i have tried are as follows:
I am at a loss for what else to do now, and as this is the last book i need for the "Solitude Soliloquies" so i would really like to have it added into the game somehow, prehaps at the end of "A Gathering Storm"?

- Disabled all add-ons
- Attempted to Mail, Trade, Deposit in bank the book from a different character
- Grouped with someone who hasnt done the quest and tried to stand next to them while they grabbed the book
- Had quest shared to me (obviously did not work)
