Best glyph for frontbar inferno staff?

This is for a Magplar with 1 fire skill and no shock skills. I'm thinking since the inferno staff itself, plus the flame wall from back, can proc the burning stat fairly often and go into cooldown, then having a fire glyph on an inferno staff would be redundant. So is Shock glyph a better option?

IIRC shock dmg glyph procs minor vulnerability so it would be better assuming you get your dmg spell enchant from backbar unstable WoE

Generally the Fire glyph goes front bar on your precise staff, amd is mainly used for Burning procs. Berserker goes back bar on your Infused staff for 452 Weapon/Spell Dmg with100% uptime.

Poison + Fire was popular for single target for a few months, but I’d stick with Berserker now that Magplar has such a great multiplier on Spell Damage (around 1.41X, bringing Berserker to 637 Spell Damage).

For PvE and most PvP builds flame glyph front bar since it's a strong DOT and also has a high chance of proccing burning status effect (~30% base chance, higher with various class/staff passives). Shock glyph isn't really worth it anymore, since there's no more Exploiter CP star to take advantage of off-balance. Berserker goes on back bar, if you can't sustain you can replace that with absorb magic.

Status effects don't have a cooldown. Light/medium/heavy attacks cannot proc status effects at all. Wall of elements is a ground aoe dot which have the lowest status chance from anything that can proc status.

Wouldn't a shock staff be better front bar for magplar because jabs, flare, blazing spear, crescent sweep, unstable wall, orb are all aoe damage?

For solo content maybe. For group content Inferno is much better because Fire damage gets increased by 15% through Engulfing Flames and Encratis Behemoth.

Yep. E+E messes a ton of stuff up in terms of viability.

kinda simple...check how much of your dmg comes from which sort of skills. (just slot a froststaff for this test, since it will not effect the multipliers)

if all your singletarget dmg combined is bigger than 50% -> Flame is definetly stronger
if aoe skills are more than 50% then shock

but keep in mind, that in a raid there can be situations where dmg needs to be focussed on specific targets, and /or ground aoes arent moved towards this target (like creepers or orbs in vCR) then flame is prob the way to go.

also the buffed beam and potl are both ST, and both are pretty strong.

Imo. If engulfing and encratis only buffed them/the user it'd be less problematic for everyone else. There's no group equivalents for frost and shock. When flame damage gets a 10-15% boost across the board. If they gave magdk some other form of group buff instead as compensation that'd be great.
