Has there been any word on a 3rd companion?

I bet they want to see how we are using them and if it’s a feature they want to full my invest man/people hours in. I would like to hope they are developing the system 1st before adding any more. The grind on them is way to high for the little reward you get for them and I do love them but dreading already if we get a 3rd and having to lvl that rapport again..

They need to be stronger and smarter as they just die all the time if doing anything other than killing overworld mobs.

Would I like a 3rd one (and more) yes I would. Also would like variety as you only get 3 class skills with them, so maybe you can have companions in the same class, but have different skills from eachother. Would open up them up a lot more when comes to variation than simply just being a different race.

Also races that we don’t have that are previews to future playable races would be neat. Hehe

As a menber of dark brotherhood I demond a skeleton guard companion who can keep silence when I murdering people.

I create my own story for them, so I don't see any problem :-)

I would like a warden companion who summoned their own bear (maybe a half size sun bear) so i can have a party of 5 bears while mounted.

Also a khajiit companion for khajiit characters that ride senches.

I took the trouble to count some numbers a bit.
In this tread people wished to see a new companion as:

Khajiit - 10, (added 1 from me)
Bosmer - 3,
Argonian and Skeletons got 2 mentions each,
Nord, werewolf, vampire, sea elf, dremora and dwemer centurion - once each.

Dear ZoS, may you get it as a sign?

No idea what you mean! But then I haven’t played Skyrim in years…

He was my devoted follower in Skyrim (especially as he levelled up with you) and was far less irritating than any other potential ones. I’d like similar in this game.

A Kajiit would be cool, but I mostly hope that they fix the dialog "they made their choices" - dude, it's a wisp. "Use a stamina potion" says the guy about to die again. "Block until you get your footing" - ok, maybe I got Cc'd at some point, but it was so long ago, you are just distracting me trying to figure out what you are talking about.

I would prefer that they finished what they started with the companions before they ad more of them. Personally they are rough around the edges and their story lines feel very incomplete.

Agree. Before the BW release I've thought that I would use Bastian as he looked nice, but he is so... "Specific", I just can't stand hearing an adult man complaining every second. I mean, I'm not sure it is necessary for his personality – to spoil a normal gameplay. Mirri is much better at this point, nice voice acting and she is just fine, even though I'm not a fan of dark elves.

Cosmetic upgrades for current companions would be a good addition to the game, along with new companions. Change hair style, color. Access to alternate faces, so forth.

I like dark elves a lot but Mirri… she’s so skinny! I literally can’t handle how skinny she is…

I think the existing companions could use some more dialog, because it's a bit limited at the moment.

I’d love to see more companions. I only have one suggestion. Don’t put them behind DLC zones. Make them attainable from the starting areas.

I wouldn´t mind if companions didn´t have personalities and backstories, just want them for rp and the little dps they can provide. Thus I´d rather have any mute version of my alts. Or a female maormer, or a nereid. Instead, I´m stuck with two companions for whom I couldn´t care less, from a rp pov.

I hope they think hard about releasing more companions. This last chapter has been thin story-wise and relied on the, imo unneeded companions. We need a proper big zone next time with something like a new class, race or skill line rather than just more companions to clutter up towns.

One companion is already unnecessary. A second, or third? Good Lord, man.. Cracks me up already seeing players rolling around with a Twilight, a Clannfear and a companion altogether. Would be more interesting and humorous if the companion is able to slot the Twilight and Clannfear too. Ha ha
