Maarselok Spider Wall Bugged

Stuck in spider phase for over 30m multiple times. Yes, the spiders were climbing all the way up and Maarselok was glowing green when they'd reach him. Many MANY spiders. This happened over and over until finally something seemed to reset him. From that point on, it only took 10~20s for enough spiders to crawl up and bring Maarselok down for some hack'n'slash.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to trigger the reset/fix. We did try all exiting his boss arena and re-entering, but the bug happened immediately after that, too. Best I can tell, it was simply spontaneous in fixing itself.
Really, it was worse than a 3H drive with kids singing "Wheels on the bus ... " the entire way.
UP go the spiders into Maarselok's snout .. DOWN comes the shout to knock everybody out ...
