Please move IC quest givers to bottom of ladder or make quest board

Ok, who isn't fed up with the bugged ladders in IC? How many times do you have to press E to get up/down anyway? The only thing that seems to work is holding still and counting to 10, then crossing your fingers and trying the ladder again. This has been an issue since forever and it makes getting from one district to the next a real hassle. It's infuriating if you are trying to get back to a fight or get to a boss. It's a small nightmare to go up and down the ladders 6 times to pick up all the district quests.

So, why not move the quest givers to the bottom of the ladder or make a quest board that we can pick the quests up from?

If ZOS can't fix the ladder issue, maybe they can at least relocate some of what we are after and make life a tiny bit easier for IC players.

Hard to argue with your premise. You are asking for a bandaid, and I would prefer they actually fix the gunshot wound that is the ladder failing to load, but certainly, would be better than nothing.

    I would agree with this.

Even in response to the "band-aid" fix up above, even if the ladders are working perfectly, I still find it very inconvenient to have to go up each ladder from the sewers to collect the quests, without having any sort of access to the quests from the IC itself. It is very inconvenient to have to either 1. go up each ladder individually to collect each quest, going up and down into IC and then back into the sewers and then back into IC for each one, or 2. do each quest individually, and then have to travel back through the sewers to the alliance base each time. If I'm in IC, I want to focus on the districts, doing my quests, taking flags, etc. Not having to go back and forth into the sewers every time I am finished with one district.

So yes, even with perfectly working ladders, I am in favor of the quest givers or a board with all the quests being down in the sewers.

Or, if putting the quest givers by the bottom of the ladders creates too much congestion, they could just put a little flier on the wall at the bottom of each ladder similar to the housing announcement in every town.

Great suggestion. It is a band-aid for a bigger problem, but as others have pointed out, even if the bug is fixed, it would still be far more convenient to have the quests available from the sewers without going up to IC districts.

Yea, the quest givers being up top is fairly annoying and just compounded by the fact you can't access them if you get hyped and jump down into the city after going up the ladder, which I've seen happen to some friends. But the worst is (as has already been pointed out above) the "campaign is full" message that keeps you from loading - it happens when you go down and back up a ladder and it takes about half a dozen clicks before it lets you up. Also happens when you are fresh into IC, you have to stand there and wait for the "entering cyrodiil" loading message that appears on your notifications to go away before you can use a ladder.

If they can't code the game to work more precisely, they should at least move the quest givers (though either way they would be better off in base and not up top).

I'd love to be able to get them all at once.

I notice the 'you already queued' bug is from using a ladder too quickly after just using one. If you take some time to drop off Tel Vars at the banker or to snipe Dremora in the Arena before heading back, you rarely get stopped, but if you just go up to get the quest and go right back down, it'll always hit it.

I always have to collect all 6 dailies before I start running any of them since I have no intention of finding my way back after each individual quest. Especially since you can overlap some (you can set the traps in the Nobles' district and then get the Legion Zero kills you need while dealing with the siege weapons in Elven Gardens).

Also wouldn't mind if the map team wanted to finally fix the city and rotate it ~30 degrees like it's supposed to be - Arena is supposed to be due east of the WGT, not slightly northeast.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Agree, now the sections in iC is not really zones, you can return to an zone and collect loot.
(has not tested this overland but assumes loot disappear, note to self test this)
But yes picking up the quests from the people below would be an nice..

Technically this is already true, it's just that the NPC is at the top of the ladder before you accept the quest, and in the alliance base after you accept it (whether or not you've completed it, they are there until it's turned in and the daily reset). But yes, if they were in the base all the time and able to hand them out, it would help with the ladder load screens.

The Silenced areas are safe. Even in Cyrodiil, you aren't safe when you talk to an NPC out in the open. Pretty sure that even in PVE, aggroed mobs can still attack while in dialogue, right?

As a general rule of thumb, if you could stand there up on the tower and snipe someone below you on the ground, they can hit you back. Otherwise, there'd be a horde of invulnerable snipe gankers perched up on those platforms.

That's fair, I don't expect to be able to stand up there taking potshots at players, but I'd just like to pick up the damn quest is all, perhaps they could move the questgiver back a little or put them downstairs. The loading screens and ladder bug are a pain at the best of times, let alone having to deal with it several times just to pick up a daily.

    Great point.

They don't even have to do anything other than let the same npc's hand out the quest in a location they already appear in. No need for a new quest board or anything.

Just have the same npc's give out the quests at the same location they are turned in.

Great point. Simple solutions are often the best solutions.

So yes, even with perfectly working ladders, I am in favor of the quest givers or a board with all the quests being down in the sewers.
Agree, now the sections in iC is not really zones, you can return to an zone and collect loot.
(has not tested this overland but assumes loot disappear, note to self test this)
But yes picking up the quests from the people below would be an nice..

Not that much an problem for me, I do IC with guild outside of events there I might do an run on an alt for hand in.

Could a group of 6 each go up a separate ladder and pick up an event for everyone in the group?

    ====

I think this is an intentional wait they added. Something like being in the zone for 15 seconds before you can leave via a ladder.

    ====

They also need to fix the AD quest marker to be on the ladder like the other alliances. Now it will route you all the way through the underground to another faction's home base, as if you could go up their ladder.

This bug has been there for quite a few years now and not a fix. Come on!

The same quest NPCs are already at the base. They are not under the ladders, the Nobles NPC might be, but the rest are in other parts of the base. They currently function as the turn-in places for each of the six quests. If the ladders cannot be fixed, why not just add the function of the six quest NPCs to offer the quest.
