Skill Bar tweak for QoL and tactical skill placement!

Was wondering what if each weapon swap bar had 4 skills and an elite instead of 5 skills and an elite. And then the two skills that were removed were put as persistent slots on the side that would always be available regardless of what weapon bar is up. It would make things tactical too.

You could put Guard on it so that Guard doesn't break on weapon swap. Could put pets in the slots so that they don't have to taking up so many spaces. Could put skills with passives so the passives are always active. Lots of decisions to make when deciding what two skills would go there!

Below is a little image showing the positions. 1 and 2 are the universal skills. Then the two weapon bars with 4 skills and a ultimate. It is the same number of slots overall just creating tactical options and adding some QoL to reduce all the swapping just to recast buffs, etc.

For programming purposes the 2 universal slots are basically on both weapon bars, so it'd be like whatever ability is in those two slots gets secretly slotted on both weapon bars even though the UI just shows them as persistent.

What is the difference in this compared to having the pet/guard double barred on the nr 5 button and having skill 1-4 open on both bars.

Edit: Ah wait i realised you have 2 universal slots, 1 for each bar so 2 abilities total. Would be weird at first but opens for more broken skill combinations.

Another thing I think would be really helpful is if you have an empty weapon equipment slot the game could keep the weapon equipped from the other bar.

So if you equip SwordA + SwordB in one bar.

And then equip Empty + Shield in the other bar.

The game will swap between SwordA + SwordB on one bar to SwordA + Shield. It treats empty slot as whatever is in first bar.

Not my idea as Guild Wars 2 does that mechanic.

I believe the current setup is designed to work for both PC and console. Your suggestion would not work on console as each slot is mapped to a button and what you're proposing would require another button added to standard controllers. Correct me if I'm wrong here guys.
