Notification sound spam but no notice

So, this is weird... I play with a controller on PC NA-server and I keep getting sound notification but there's nothing there. No guild notice, no mail - nothing. It's getting really annoying because it's happening VERY often on the verge of being spam! Is this a new feature or a bug?

Same thing here, mouse though but also PC NA. Bit of a distraction.

Getting this too. PC EU Started yesterday. Thought it was just me and add on or soemthing but .... yeah. Clearly not.

Been getting it as well, and have found it making the noise on notifications I thought I had suppressed via add-ons or in settings.

It has been reported by many people. Maybe ZOS thinks if they don’t say anything we will just all think we are the only ones who hear it and that we must be going crazy.

There's already a thread about it on PC. The best theory that's been proposed is that it's from leaderboard notifications. Even if you've set that feature to not display notices, it seems there's still a thonk sound when a notification is suppressed.

That's not going to work on me. I'm already crazy and I can hear it too, and the voices of course.

Yes, several threads ongoing about it... and needs to be acknowledged by ZOS and fixed ASAP. I noticed as the evening got later, the sound frequency went down as well... so it definitely seems to be leaning towards it being leaderboard notifications even though I have the notification turned OFF.
