Eye modifying collectibles need their own category

I've noticed that currently, some of the eye collectibles are in categories which in turn makes them exclusive to items in the same category. And on top of that, they're not even all in the same category! An example is the Oracle Eyes, which are in the "facial hair" category, meaning you can't have oracle eyes and a beard at the same time. The Spiderkith eyes are in the head marking category and so, you can't mix and match them with any of the other face marking. It looks like we'll be getting a new eye collectible in the upcoming crown crates. It would be nice if they added a new category specifically for these eye modifiers so that we have a bit more flexibility.

It's at the very least inconsistent and way limiting in customisation department, example bosmer having their horns as a facial hair just denies usage of beards etc. A separate slot for eyes/horns would be best decision here, or just put it in adornments as something less invasive.

I guess the team could have a look at it while there were a lot of requests concerning outfitting so it kinda fits, @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

My elf has to make a similar choice. When wearing lipstick, she has to remove her pretty gemmed cheek tatoo.

There have been so many appearance collectibles made available over the lifespan of eso that they very much need reorganization in the menu.

This would be a welcome change, for eyes to have their own category. Meaning colored eyes like the conjurer's Eyes, The Oracle eyes, left and right blind eye. This would also be a good place for goggles like the carmine monocle, Dwarf-Style Sun Goggles, Swemeri Monocular Contrivance, Gemcutter's spectacles, etc.

I went to put oracle eyes on my sorc "wizard" just now and was bummed when his beard disappeared. Thankfully the conjurer's Eyes are in a different category so I can have his beard and those pink eyes (although I'd like a glowing cyan set for him).

Yes this would be a helpful idea to keep things organized and easy to find.

    I agree.

I think the current 'system' is an artefact of several changes over time. Originally the only categories were body markings (some of which affect the face, like khajiit fur patterns), head markings and accessories - the options available in the character creator. When markings and accessories were added to the crown store and the collections menu they were split out into the categories we have now. At the time I think the only eyes were the oracle eyes and blind left and right eyes (which aren't available in the character creator, although you used to get a blind eye automatically if you picked an eye patch accessory), so it probably wasn't worth adding a category for them. I'm still not sure why they were included in facial hair though.

Then as more were added I think they got put into whichever category the person creating it thought was most sensible, but that leaves us with the system we have now where they're all over the place, meaning there's no consistency in where to find them or what they can be combined with.

I think there's enough now that it would make sense to give them their own category.

Also I'd really like to have my crafter's original appearance back. When I created him choosing the eye patch accessory also gave him stubble and a blind eye under the eye patch. At some point in the past the blind eye was removed and now putting it back removes the stubble. It clearly is possible to have all 3 together because it happened before, it's only the categorisation which is preventing it.

Have had a beef with how things are categorized for awhile. Couldn't have glowy eyes and a facial tattoo :(

Couldn't agree more. I don't understand why a character would need to choose between makeup and having a different eye colour.

Hard to argue with this. It has bugged me for a LONG time. Seems like they should just allow multiple collectibles at the same time. Sure there would probably be some funning interactions/clipping issues with some combos, but I think for the most part it would be a non issue. Players arent going to select combos that look bad.

Maybe at some point they ran tests and determined that if you wear both lipstick and a gemmed cheek tattoo it would crash the servers 💥

My character used to look so awesome with Dark Eyeliner and the glowing eye effect that came from old school Mage Light. Then they took that away.

Eventually Conjurer's Eyes came to the Crown Store promising the same edgy infernal rockstar drama, so of course I snapped it up... only to find out you can't have both. rEeEeEeEeEeE!

    +1. Please make this possible!
