Nerf to Dolmen jewelry drops?

Before anyone suggests, yes I have treasure hunter passive maxed and slotted!

That out of the way....

I've been farming for a purple Spinner's ring for about three days now on my new PC/NA account.
No drops. Plenty of blue and green drops ...I've seen two purple rings, both Salvation.
I'm not talking about farming for an hour or two either..I'm talking about farming for 13 hours yesterday alone.
Asked in zone chat, and no one else is getting drops either. Looked around guild traders (add-ons are amazing, btw) and very very few pieces, and outrageously expensive.

What gives? Never had so much issue getting purple jewelry in this game before....
Stealth nerf to drops, or something I've just missed?

I mean, this is getting silly. About to start my fourth day looking for one purple ring....

What I can see on TTC is that Spinners Ring in purple on PC NA costs arund 20-30k each.
What is so expensive about it? You could have bought one and make those 30k back by a few minutes farming mats and selling them rather than spending so many hours hoping to have a lucky RNG drop.

Did you not see where I said this is a new PC account.
Glad 30k is not expensive to YOU, but as a new player who needs more than just a ring, it's not cheap.
Wish I had the passives to sell worthwhile mats, but again, new account.

Thanks for the thought though. If you have so much extra gold, hit me up in game. Since it's such a small amount, I'm guessing you'd have no issues helping a fellow out?

    Didn't think so 😐

I made a new NA character where I started from 0,no CP,no gold,no mats, nothing, literally starting from 0 as my main server is EU.In the first week I made 300k gold and after 3 weeks I was able to buy myself a dress with crowns for gold.
Doing writs each day gives you 5k gold already and joining a trading guild and selling mats makes you a huge amount of gold in very little time.

PS: I still didnt hit lvl 50 nor CP on that toon, and still,30k gold is nothing.

    It is rng.

Been playing on playstation since day one...been in this game 7 years.
Fully understand how RNG works in this game, but this is extreme.

In contrast, got a full set of purple Spriggin's in little under an hour.
Got a full purple set of Spinner's in about two. This was maybe a year and a half ago.

Going on 4 days for one ring.
There's RNG and there's whatever this is....

How is this on topic or answering my question about nerfs to drops?

    P.S.
I'm not looking to buy anything, but farm it.
    Thanks for chiming in though.

This isnt a flex I was just pointing out that it isnt imposible to make gold in a very short amount of time even being new to a server, specially not such a little amount like 30k.
And as @OutLaw_Nynx and me pointed out,its simple RNG.Same as people farm for months specific weapons from dungeons what compared to the item you are looking for cant be bought on guild traders.

I don't think I've ever gotten purple items from the Dolmen chest, and that's doing the fighter's guild daily pretty consistently over the last couple years.

Don't forget that Jewelry items also drop from those random mini-dolmen encounters that pop up here and there. As soon as I ported into Malabal Tor and headed toward a dolmen, one of those popped up and I got a green Spinner's Necklace out of it.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

    You wouldn't understand.

I have around 20mil cash and 40-50mil craft bag value. I still wouldn't buy overland ring for 30k.

Possible not,but I dont care much for an in game currency so I dont save it up in huge amounts.I have limited time for playing ESO each day and if I can avoid grinding I do it,I know my RNG luck with drops and belive me,it is awful.
I know people who prefer to farm their stuff and imo each their own.
I would even pay 200k for an overland ring if it would save me hours of grind what I can instead invest in doing stuff I enjoy, but again, people are different and some people enjoy grinding,is why I said each their own.

It also feels to me like drops were needed with the new cp system. Pickpocketing as well. Even with the related new cp slottables. I’ve posted on this before. Unfortunately, we can never know for sure. But it seemed to me that previously with the co node almost any overland cheat I would open would have a set piece, even if it was only green. Now very often it has only junk with the new cp star.

Another thing I’ve noticed from leveling a lot of toons is that low level new toons seem to only get green and occasionally blue jewelry from dolmens, whereas my main gets purple pretty regularly. Not sure if this is based on level, jewelry crafting level or what. But it is very noticeable.

That's very cheap TBH. I've sold Spinners and Spriggans purple jewelry for 45k a pop before. Seems like there are just certain times (mainly before PVP events) where these things sell like hotcakes and you can charge a premium because everyone wants them.
