Had weakness to elements on me for 3 minutes, persisted til I left cyrodiil

The new permanent weakness to elements morph is, in fact, permanent. I got it applied to me, went to look at new champion points in a keep, used transitus to go back to the alliance base, and it didn't go away til I wayshrined out of the zone.

This is a major defect, and I'm a bit cheesed as I posted 3 threads about this issue, and have been going on about it in game since I first read the patch notes.

Please fix. I'm going to go get new gear because this completely changes gameplay, until it is fixed. Unless this is intended behavior, which is pretty nutty. Being marked in/out of combat in cyrodiil is a longstanding and very widely known bug.

    Was pointed out in the first week of PTS that this change is not a good idea with the current in combat state bugs, but ZOS didn't care and pushed into live.

    Guess in a patch or two they may start to reconsider after the forum will be flooded with players complaining about being under permanent major breach.

    Just wait until you collect 5 and start moving in slow motion. Also, permanent silence is my personal favorite, give it 10/10. Good game.

    You should see permanent Streak one, it's pretty funny, you can break free anytime you want.

    A permanent Major breach? How [snip] did that go through, thats insanely OP. If it at least would only work for the caster, but a permanent debuff everyone can take advantage of after it being cast once is just insane. Or they could make it so that it will only stay on one target, so you have to decide whom to debuff and casting it on the next will take it away from the last or something.

    Lots of effects show up on the UI permanently, they still haven't provided any real proof of it lowering armor permanently. They are an NB and simply disappointed they can't just cloak all the problems away like everything else.

    Also, the live version of the same skill is also infinite + persists as a "debuff" in certain conditions, as do other DoTs on live.

    Nothing to see here.

    @ResidentContrarian Well, he is right though. This time it actually IS a permanent debuff. Its stated in the skills description. The problem is that you get stuck in combat in Cyrodiil, which means that skill will be active permanently and also indeed debuff your armor.
    Just look into the patchnotes and read the skills description, in this case thats a huge issue with Cyrodiil combat being buggy.

    Yes, the effects don't do nothing i think, you just see them active. But after 5 collected effects your char moves slowly until you log out and back in. And perma silence really does silence all your mag skills and ulti, you have to relog if you get it.

    Elemental Susceptibility (morph): This morph now persists indefinitely, until the target leaves combat or dies, rather than lasting 20 seconds and refreshing whenever they take damage from you.

    That leaves Combat Part is the issue, since you won't ever leave combat in Cyrodiil if you still have an actual effect on you no matter if you take damage or not. Also you get stuck in combat by leaving a fight you didn't finish or stuff like that. It indeed is a permanent Major Breach on everyone forever.

    The description doesn't mean anything. What I mean is that lots of effects stay on your character in Cyrodiil. Example being siege damage. They don't actually kill you, it only shows up on the UI.

    Now, the request is for them to furnish proof that their resistances are actually permanently decreased. Every time they complained about the skill they have not done so. See the problem?

    @ResidentContrarian The skill literally says that it lasts forever. Its not just a visual thing, if you are stuck in combat the Major breach will never end. End of discussion, stop defending something you want to exploit.

    Actually no it does not, it should cease when you leave combat.

    Now, a UI effect appearing on your bar does not mean that the effect is actually active, it just means that it's on your UI bar, just like all the times seige, surprise attack, burning light, et. al. stay on your bar, doesn't mean anything for your stats or that you will die repeatedly.

    Also what you see on your client does not always match server-side effects. What I posted above just in the first paragraph there is an example of that.

    Now, knowing that an effect appearing on a bar does not always mean it is actually active or detrimental, then they cannot claim that it is active and detrimental without providing proof that it is.

    If the effect really is that active and detrimental, then all they need to do, or anyone, including you, is simply ask someone to help you test it. On video, show your stats screen, get the effect, leave combat without combat bug, and show that it is still decreased.

    That then, would demonstrate that the skill is bugged.

    As for me wanting to exploit a skill? I don't even slot the skill outside of PvE because it's not very useful to reduce stats on an opponent IMO, certainly not for a slot.

    @ResidentContrarian And thats exactly the issue. In Cyrodiil you don't just leave combat. More often than not you get a stuck in combat bug. And thats the point. The skill is fine, the problem is that you won't leave combat reliable in Cyrodiil. And as long as you are in combat the debuff won't end.

    I've had this and a couple of other permanent debuffs in Cyrodiil (in that the timer, which I display, showed several thousands days until the debuff ended). I did not think to leave Cryodiil and return. I logged off and logged on (while still in Cyrodiil) and the debuff cleared. When I could not officially logoff due to being stuck "in combat," I ended ESO using windows, then restarted game and logged on.

    You can go into Cheesemonger's Hollow to clear stuck in combat. The portal is in your home base. You don't have to relog, reload, or actually leave Cyrodiil.
