2 players on same connection while pvp causes lag

Doesnt matter the combination. BG, Cyro, IC, any mix. Been like this for years. 2 players, same connection. Skills won't fire. UI registers them and mod goes on cooldown, server does not. Maybe after a year of microsoft being in charge it will work. I assume it has something to do with message limit from servers from same connection. Lazy

Interesting, it looks that we have similar problems.
Playing with my wife, same PCs, same parameters, same performace game settings. Connection is very well good, low latency, high speed. BUT we hape relative many hops to server and happening exactly the same thing.
BG, IC, Cyro, Dungeons ... LAGS! Both of us same problem, abilities not firing, attacks doing zero dmg, taunt not registered. When one of us isnt in game, its work slight better, but it can be only placebo effect...Really sorry for my english0 -

✭If you have two people on the same physical connection and your bandwidth isn't sufficient for burst traffic then because of the protocols ESO uses you can get problems if your ISP hasn't configured their setup right or you have a crap or old wifi or other internet gateway. Similar problems on the wifi protocols so using wired can help if that bit is the problem. Instead of the big bursty user getting most of the traffic and the low usage link getting a steady flow what happens is that the big bursty user hogs all the bandwidth and starves the other user making them lag.
It is usually possible to fudge a fix for a given setup using quality of service and bandwidth limiting options on some setups but it does require a considerable amount of networking skill
