What are some new set ideas/concepts that you have? What would you like to see more of/change?

This doesn't necessarily have to be things you think should be in the game, but just in general, what are some concepts or changes regarding gear sets/bonuses that you may have? It could be a new set, changes to an existing set, new kinds of sets that altar different aspects of gameplay, anything!

I'm bored and just want to spitball ideas with you all and discuss things.

Also, to start off, I'll come up with a set idea that in no way would ever happen, but I think would be a neat concept to discuss, this being class-altering sets;

Ice Wraith Anomaly
Type: Solo Arena (Only drops while playing the arena as a warden)
(2 Pieces) 1096 Magicka and Stamina
(3 items) Gain Minor Slayer at all times, increasing your damage done to Dungeon, Trial, and Arena Monsters by 5%.
(4 Pieces) 129 Weapon and Spell damage.
(5 Pieces, Perfected Only) 833 Critical Chance
(5 Pieces) If you are a Warden, your Animal Companion abilities become Ice Wraith Anomalies with additional effects listed in their tooltip. Has no effect in PVP areas.

Dive:
You now launch an Ice Wraith that deals frost damage rather than its normal damage type. Targets under 25% health now take up to 100% extra damage. Damage scaling remains the same.
Scorch:
A large ice wraith now bursts from the ground in a circular area in front of you, dealing frost damage in place of its normal damage type. The damage is increased by 1% for every enemy in the area, up to a maximum of 8%. Damage scaling remains the same.
Swarm: You now call a swarm of miniature ice wraiths that deal frost damage over time instead of their normal damage type. While the swarm persists, afflicted targets take an additional 4% damage from other frost damage sources and an additional 8% from the Icy Conjuror, Winterborn and Iceheart sets. Damage scaling remains the same.
Betty Netch:
Summon a friendly ice wraith instead of a betty netch. While the ice wraith persists, you and up to 3 other wardens in your group gain the "Atmoran Song" buff, increasing the duration of your Winter's Embrace abilities by 2 seconds and their damage by 4%, and the duration of the Winter's Respite set by 4 seconds.
Falcon's Swiftness:
Your wings now take the form of icy constructs instead of falcon wings. Casting this ability in combat now also grants the "Wraith's Fortitude" synergy, which reduces the ability costs of allies activating it by 8% and their elemental damage taken by 5% for 10 seconds. Can only be activated once every 15 seconds.
Feral Guardian:
Your guardian takes the form of a large ice wraith, dealing frost damage instead of its normal damage type. The cost of Guardian's Wrath is now 250 ultimate and no longer has execute damage, but your target is afflicted with major brittle and minor stamina-steal for 8 seconds.

Now, I think something a bit more realistic than this would be like what we currently have for arena weapons, where they're only altering 1 ability at a time, but the bonus is more substantial;

(2 piece, perfected only) Grants up to 103 spell damage
(2 piece) Your dive ability now summons an ice wraith that deals frost damage instead of its normal damage type. Dive now also deals up to 100% more damage to targets under 25% health and and additional 5% for every successive cast on low-health targets, up to a maximum of 150%.

Yay or nay? Also again, please share your own ideas so that we can have fun and the combat team can secretly laugh at us.

Class-altering sets are a neat idea, but might be a bit expensive on development bandwidth to create, test, and balance. It's essentially creating morphs you can equip.

Maybe something that stays within the current balance parameters, but does a flavor change to a class ability? For example, in addition to the normal 5-piece bonus, something Jester themed that changes a Necromancer's Flame Skull (and its morphs) to frightening clowns heads.

the set idea seems way too strong, but i appreciate the thought behind it. i like the idea of class ability altering sets that make them more powerful. etc but i think it should only be 1 skill at a time like the current existing weapon altering sets,
but seperate to this, at base, scorch and deep fissure should be frost damage, the idea of being forced to equip a set just to have scorch make more sense in terms of class gameplay through it's damage type just seems like a bad idea.

When we get another arena I'd love to see a set or s&b that when you taunt you have x chance to apply taunt to everything in a 8 meter radius.

A crafted set that mag equivalent of kvatch gladiator

A light set that shares any buffs & shields on you to group members in a 5 meter area around you every 10 seconds with a 20 second cooldown.

A medium set when you crit you gain stack of x once you reach 5 stacks summon a shade that copies damage done for 10 seconds. Can earn 1 stack every .5 second. Once a shade is summoned you cannot earn any more stacks for 15 seconds

A heavy set that gives both 2x stam & mag recovery (both for 2 & 3 pc bonus) max health then when not in combat gain major expedition, when in combat gain toughness

So, as much as I ADORE healing in vet dungeons and the challenge that sort of content provides, I'm a single player TES fan at  so I really appreciate the 5 piece bonuses that boost light/heavy attack damage/functionality. Allows me to engage in the story, solo quests, overland exploration etc like I would a regular TES game, and not thrash around with weaving into a billion spell particle effects when I just want to RP a warrior or battlemage that is light/heavy attack focused. Please don't murder me... I just don't care about the meta when I'm questing and much prefer building unique and fun character playstyles that are simply chill to play, so I really appreciate a lot of the non-meta sets in this game.

    Some 5 piece ideas:
    • Dealing damage with a light attack grants you a stack of Aggressor's Adrenaline for 5 seconds, up to 5 stacks max. Each stack increases your attack speed and light attack damage by 5%. (would pair sooooooo well with Bloodmoon)
    • Your heavy attack unleashes a wave of incinerating flame in a conal attack in front of you (20m range) damaging all enemies in its path. Can occur one every 7 seconds. (lots of bosses in this game have awesome melee weapons that seem to channel magic in epic ways like this. I'd love access to something similar myself)
    • Dealing damage with a light attack increases the damage of your next heavy attack by 20%, stacking up to 5 times. When you deal damage with a heavy attack at max stacks you also restore health equal to 30% of the damage done, and restore magicka and stamina equal to 5% of the damage done. (I know ZOS were playing around with the idea of making heavy attacks feel powerful like they did in Skyrim. This could be a way of achieving that).

Values completely guessed, no real thought or study there (or not guessed at all for the second one). It's mostly the functionality I'm suggesting here, not the final figures.

    Ideas:
-A set that instantly restores 8-9k health every 15 seconds.

-A set that fully restores the companions health when you heavy attack an enemy.

-A set that makes you invisible 100% of the time, except for combat. (not usable in PvP)

-A set that permanently morphs the player into a torchbug.

-A set that makes it seem like you are levitating above ground.

-A set that grants you +2 skillpoints.

-A set that grants you M'Aiq's avoidance, which shows you the location of M'Aiq the Liar on the map, so you can avoid him. (or look for him)

-A set that dimishes your power by 50%. (Power = SD/WD/HP/Mag/Sta/Mag regen/Sta regen/armor/resists) Call it: Molag Bal's Touch. For those who want tougher overland.

Note: All of the above effects are on the 5th set bonus.

Those will probably never happen though.

PS: And please remove the visual effect from Hatchling's shell, it is WAY too intrusive!

I'd love to see the damage type buffing sets, the ones that buff lightning, frost, fire, physical, etc, updated to also augment all of the damage you do. So for example, if I were to run Netch's Touch, all damage done by me would switch to shock damage, and I'd get a damage boost to shock damage.

With the caveat that I would lose access to all other damage types and their status effects wouldn't be able to proc.

    Hey folks,

I like the ideas, but some of those 5 piece set suggestions either 'kind of' exist and/or could be a little too easy for the player.
A forum member here (DarkStorne) spoke of a set that increases light attack speed and damage + pairing it with another existing set that also boosts your light attack speed and damage; It's a fun idea, but 25% extra damage and attack speed at max stacks + the existing set would bring the light attack speed to 75% (wowsies)...I don't think that'll fly and you'd see an increase in Stamplars simply using 'jab jab'.

Concerning the 'fire cone' suggestion you already have flame blossom which is rather similar:
5 items) When you deal damage, you summon a line of flame that moves forward after 1 second, dealing 1614 Flame Damage to any enemy in its path and applying the Burning status effect. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
I do like the suggestion of channelling the skill through the weapon. Something with more intensity in the animation could be nice (related to the staff you are holding)

The set suggestion concerning heavy attacks would also be a bit game breaking. It all seems a bit too easy as we already have healing skills, sets and even some mythical that help in that regard. There is already 'Ulfnor's favor' which gives a substantial amount of stamina/magicka back on heavy attacks and the set boasts some healing taken and max health..that's plenty enough, right?

All in all I think the sets available are already on par with the meta proposed by the producer. I would add and agree with many that they have niched certain sets more than others. What I would care to see in a foreseeable future (even as a test period) is the deployment of crit hitting proc sets only in PvE (PvP crit on proc disabled). If we had the possibility to have proc sets that could crit in trials/overland/dungeons, I think it would open a new range of possibilities for players who have been accumulating either pieces or the stickerbook for years for some dusty old sets.

Also, why not simply add more class skills...the need for a new class branch for all classes is required by now, right?

(I believe this thread could be interesting for our moderators concerning feedback and I hope your subject creates some interest, Op!)

I don't think that is a good idea. Especially not on a 5pc set. because on warden, we'd be relying on an item set to make deep fissure more synergistic with the class when it should just be frost damage at base. It's probably better as a mythic item or something

I have a couple of ideas,

A retrain of the spawn of maphala set to make it so it'll trigger from AoE damage instead and a a set that summons a flesh atronach just by dealing direct damage of any type with its damage being different depending on what type of damage triggered it, weather it be magic or stamina based. Think of the flesh atronach set like domihaus but it summons an undead golem for a time.

The only thing I have really wanted for ages now is an actual buff set for healers that does NOT require a fully changed heavy attack to proc it!!

Really get fed up with heavy attacks on healer sets because
    a) a my healers have high magicka and high sustain so I rarely even need the resource return myself which means I could easily be buffing more and LA more, etc. instead of constantly minding HA uptimes on top of everything else
    b) cumulative LAs over the course of the fight are way more important than minding a HA proc every X seconds
    c) highly mobile fights in mechanics heavy vet content make HA very inconvenient if sometimes even downright risky, and
    d) the damned HA duration of a restro staff, even when cancelling it, is way too ****ing long.

Been asking for this to change for years; totally falls on deaf ears. They just keep churning out "fully changed HA to...." over and over and over.

Alchemy based sets. I love the theme of proc sets that activate when you drink a potion/have a poison fire. Apart from the likes of Arkasis's Genius, Clever Alchemist, Widowmaker and Kyne's Wind there aren't any really decent alchemy sets like that. Having a set that say, reduces potion cool downs by 20% and provides a random buff upon drinking a potion, and poisons cause a random debuff could be interesting.

It'd be interesting but gross if there was some proc set that required using a potion to proc, that involved... bringing the potion back up the way it came in it'd likely be bad but definitely interesting

I'd love to see a healing set that adds a damage component to heals. Like, for every heal-over-time you have on members of your group, you get a small area-of-effect damage tick/pulse centered on your group members. It wouldn't replace buff sets in trials, but it might help our struggling 4-man pugs.

That would be really neat, although maybe I wouldn't extend it to all damage types. I think maybe replacing just magic and physical damage would be enough.

Either way as they stand now, the sets are difficult to take full advantage of if you don't have a kit specifically tailored to them, like Ysgramor's Birthright.

I'd like some new stam sets that don't involve stacks. I'm stacked out.

I'm looking forward to trying the new sweetroll set when it comes out, its not going to be a BIS set, but it will be in the fun pile

I'd love the idea of character type sets for templar, warden, DK etc that can't be worn by others

I want something like Unfathomable Darkness that is magicka based so my Black Court attendant can finally be surrounded by crows. For flavor. Make the crows crit and I'll be happy as a clam. (I know the crows were a minor menace in PVP on stamsorcs for five minutes. If we can set that aside...)

I want False God's to stop making that horrible flushing toilet sound and covering me in green slime every time I kill something. It's excessive. It has to go.

I would like more trial sets to give you fancy weapon effects instead of applying all these gaudy VFX to your toon. Moondancer et. al. are tasteful and stylish.

I WANT THAT HARVESTING RING WHERE IS IT
Only delay I will accept is if they're changing it to harvesting overalls or a funny straw hat.

I want a set that summons an army of hostile Bantam Guars. Seeing those little goobers chase wolves down in overland would bring me so much joy. Make it a hybrid set so everyone can use it, please.

AND speaking more on procs, if we're never going to get a Conjuration skill line, could we at least get a set that procs the Summon Familiar spell? I want a ghost wolf.

I am a very serious player who very seriously plays this game.

    • 2 Armor
    • 3 Armor
    • 4 Max Stam + Max Mag
    • 5 Increases the damage of your siege weapons (excluding or less effective for oils perhaps) against players by 40%

You essentially run without a 5th piece in combat stats and while you are using your siege weapons, you will be in combat so you can't just switch back as soon as someone is attacking you. But it does help you in fights as long as you get to setup your weapon. The set works for solo players to fight larger groups but it doesn't exactly help larger groups stomp solo players or smaller groups. It'll also have the added benefit that people will start taking fire from siege weapons seriously again and that you can't just heal and stand in the rain anymore so to speak - which btw means less stacking abilities in the same small area which should decrease lag somewhat.
It also helps offset against the siege shield skill that reduces siege damage by 50%, but only if you bother wearing the set, the same way you have to bother slotting siege shield.
By design it is a very noob friendly set that good players already know how to play against while still allowing newer players to have fun in PvP by giving them a tool to be useful in fights as long as their aim is good.
