Has anyone found a way to shut Curtaros up? I can't take it anymore.

I finished the mission rescuing him and his crew years ago, on several 'toons.

I've spoken to him in the cafe numerous times.
I've spoken to all of his crew sitting around the table, numerous times.

This was supposed to be fixed many patches ago.

What does it take to shut that guy up?
I'm to the point where I can't craft my dailies there anymore, and it makes buying the townhouse in Alinor pointless as a porting hub.

Any suggestions?
Or do I just abandon Summerset in general since the crafting area at Rawl is where I'm spending more time because the bug bothers me that much.

ETA: I'm asking because I have another 10 'toons I'd like to use Summerset crafting area for, and yes, it bothers me that 7 'toons have to avoid the area and the other 10 can't do the quest if I want to avoid the guy afterwards.

    Besides not saving him?

The trick is, after talking to him, after you have saved him, do not ever log out while in the crafting area. Log out just outside near the cart or tree.

Then he and his crew never spawns and you never hear him sing again. He will only spawn if you log to a character parked in the crafting area.

He is the one you "rescue" in the delve near Alinor.

I think the actor providing his voice had a guarantee of being heard quite frequently because he will sometimes sing (as a ghost I guess) when he is not even there!

Log out while in the crafting area and log back in and you should get to hear him if you have finished the delve questline. At least that is how it worked on the PS4. I don't know that I have done that on the PC, though he does sing as a ghost at times.

Did you talk to him after saving him and go through all the dialog? If so, he only spawns if you logout of your character while in the crafting area then log in again.

I have 3 characters that have saved him. None of them ever hear his singing or see him or his party ever again.

Rawl'kha is probably the most chill place to craft since there's little noise so it's the best place to craft if you want peace and quiet. The city is also very small so you don't need to run around everywhere.

My only complaint is sometimes you just get too close to the merchant area and you here Zalapu make her passionate sentencing speech to Finedrin. Worst part is that she calls Faruin a male Altmer when she's actually a female Bosmer, but I forgive her since she's very passionate about sentencing Finedrin.

I just turn off the audio in settings and have a YouTube playlist going when I do my daily writs each day.

When I am actually playing I turn the audio back on.

My computer keyboard has little buttons that let me mute/unmute the audio, decrease the volume, or increase the volume. It's much more convenient than going into the game settings. :)
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

    Besides not saving him?

The trick is, after talking to him, after you have saved him, do not ever log out while in the crafting area. Log out just outside near the cart or tree.

Then he and his crew never spawns and you never hear him sing again. He will only spawn if you log to a character parked in the crafting area.

Not quite true. He will still seek in the song (though not the rest of the dialog) even when doing that.

Did you talk to him after saving him and go through all the dialog? If so, he only spawns if you logout of your character while in the crafting area then log in again.

I have 3 characters that have saved him. None of them ever hear his singing or see him or his party ever again.

Agreed. Once I talked to him in the crafting area, finishing his dialogue, he went away for good unless I log in with a character that's already in the crafting area.

I'm not exactly sure where the line is as far as the distance you need to be away from him, but I usually log out near the merchant that's by the entrance to the crafting area, and that's far enough away that he won't be there when I run in to do writs.

I just checked on all my characters. They all did this quest and finished it. Curtaros is not in Alinor by the Provisioner for any of them.

Which provisioner are you going to?

    Edit

    Here's a video

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=S_JJ3DLuaIM

If you don't see him and you've done his quest and went to the right provisioner, your game is bugged. He spawns often.

I'll double check on my main but I don't recall him being there for me either. Perhaps it's tied to the last quest choices..?

Update: Checked and no Curtaros for me. Wiki says they'll show up 'eventually'. Very doubtful since it's been about two years.

    Same for me.

Stuga is number one on my list. No, I have no idea how long you've been looking for me, and I don't care! 😠

Yessss I get murderous as soon as I hear her. Sometimes she starts while I am miles away from her.
I find it so irritating. Even worse she can look you up and follow you around so you can't just run past her and stand somewhere else.

No love for Stuga on my side.

    @twev

It looks like you may have a solution. Just don't log out in the crafting area. I'm very interested to find out if this works for you.
