Light armor vs medium armor

A cloth wearing mage should be able to at least sneak better than someone in medium armor. I recognize rogues use stealth + med. Lets take a look at victim tanks that take a hit to damage in order to protect, while casters take a hit to armor in order to have 'mobility'. so then you mix the two and get nothing but benefits from both sides. med armor, protects and increases mobility. That statement makes no sense and creates a completely unfair middle ground for people that gravitate to either extremes.
So, then you mix the two and get something that protects a little and offers maneuverability, while relinquishing some mobility and armor.

One could argue that medium armor is tailored to fit well while also offering maximum flexibility. One person has said that cloth armor fits loosely which makes it more likely to catch onto something and knock it over.

The comparisons being made here are not taking into account the entire picture and merely picking and choosing what to compare. After all, light armor reduces the effectiveness of snares and the cost of sprinting.

Of course, I am speaking to passives on live since this thread is in the General sub-forum.
