It's not a "false sense of accomplishment" just because you're not fighting actual people (by the way, have you heard of PvP?). Not everybody judges their fun by how many other people they beat.

If you think mechanics are easy you obviously haven't pugged enough DLC dungeons, or you'd know that isn't true for a lot of players.

Don't belittle other people accomplishments just because you're playing the wrong game.

I just want to say that I know in the Elon Musk fandom this is expected to conjure up great reverence, but this doesn't make us non-Elon fanboys/girls see you or your alleged friends as more authoritative. You play games. Cool. A lot of people do. A huge number do. People from lots of different background. And different people play games for different reasons, and your Telsa engineer gaming club's reasons for playing a game are not any more valid than anyone else's just because you all are alleged Telsa engineers. That's just..lol. Classism, entitlement, snobbery, whatever you want to call it. But really, please understand you are free to have an opinion and we're also free to not defer to it because our reasons for playing games are just as valid even if they aren't the same. I certainly hope an engineer is "smart" enough to understand that very basic life lesson.

They say ESO gives a false sense of accomplishment due to mechanics and not other players reactions for counters. What makes a game a game is finding a way to beat it. ESO is the easiest of games because if you ever played SIMON you will be good in ESO. I really don't know if it's the age or particular cultures of gamers. But seems the people at ZOS have lost there willingness to make it a game.

OK, again, your Tesla engineer friends, whoever they are, obviously not members of the ESO community, are free to have an opinion, but if they go around thinking every video game should be like League of Legends or COD they are being snobs, and being a snob isn't a valid opinion. They aren't the solo arbitrators of What Is A Game. Spoiler alert: not all games have to be "challenging" or something you "beat" and if you think that, you need to go out in the world and learn what games are in the context of larger human society beyond your Elon Musk bubble--I say this as a teacher who uses games of all sorts as teaching tools.

Different people find different things rewarding. Just because you don't find ESO rewarding doesn't mean the sense of enjoyment other get out of it is "a false sense of accomplishment." I have spent years working on characters in this game that I enjoy playing, I've playing literally every aspect of the game, from vet trials to organized group PVP to trading to RP'ing, and the time I've spent doing that isn't a false anything. Neither is anyone else's. And you need to respect that. If you don't get anything out this game, fine. Go play something else. We don't care.

Furthermore, just because you don't think this MMO, with its millions of players, isn't for you doesn't mean it has a marketing problem. Believe me, ZOS knows how to "do business." Given how this game started out, that it's as successful as it is now is all the proof anyone needs. I have a lot of gripes with ZOS, ranging from super petty to "you're hurting people, ZOS," but even I can acknowledge they turn this game into a massive success story. You and your, um, friends seem to think that just because ZOS isn't marketing to YOU specifically that that's a problem, and it's not. That is, again, entitlement. Not every game has to be for you. It's OK. COD isn't for me, but I don't spend my time in COD's official forums bashing Activision for not marketing to my preferences (although given recent news stories, I certainly could be bashing them about something, just not that).

There's is an extraordinary abundance of irksome facile logic in your "rant" here that I just don't have time to address line by line, but I hope this is enough. Are there problems to ESO? Yes, of course there are, but your complaints seem leaning heavily towards ME ME ME and not anything the ESO community or ZOS should take seriously. Sorry, Telsa engineer person. Just, please, go play something else.

Answer: Because the root problem is something the influencers can't influence: the code ESO is built on and the hardware ZOS uses.

Proc/No Proc? New objectives? Faction-lock/No Faction Lock? All due to player feedback/influencers.

Performance Problems? That's up to ZOS to fix, and it's the one thing they apparently can't.
