Maintenance for the week of October 6:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – October 7, 6:00AM EDT (10:00 UTC) - 4:00PM EDT (20:00 UTC)
You could exclude Sorc and Warden, as together with companions and Engime Guardian/Maw monster set and Defiler/mad Tinkerer/etc Sorcerers have a chance to summon a little army
necromancers have 2 "temporary" comabt pets, only DKs and Templars fight alone.
we already have Bastian, so the only reasonable options remaining is a Templar.
It occurs to me, we're all thinking a bit narrowly for this.
We're looking at the player classes and asking for companions based on those. (Aside from the vampire suggestions, or the werewolf suggestion I made.)
What about a Tinkerer/Artificer Companion. (Think Neramo, or the Dark Elf twins), where your companion has a bunch of salvaged Dwemer artifacts, and uses them as the basis for their class skill lines.
Or, a battlemage, with distinct skill lines for Fire, Ice, and Lightning, with distinct benefits for each?
What about an actual, Dark Brotherhood assassin, with skills focused on that (distinct from a nightblade.)
People have been asking for Bards and Monks for years, and while I'm not sure they'd be content to give us companion who punches things to death, I'm sure they'd be happier about that than giving us a class that does the same. And what could possibly be more annoying than minstrels wandering the world, beating bandits to death with their lutes? Bards would be a natural buff/debuff/healer class, and that's really not compatible with how ZOS wants to develop player classes these days, but it would work on a companion.
I'm thinking, if ZOS ramps this up, there could be some really cool possibilities in the future.
I use my companions mainly as supports for my characters and for that reason I would like to see a warden companion, I think their skills would be very helpful.
I still feel kinda teased with Blackwood trailer as it showed an Argonian Shadowscale character and it is not in the game... I mean imagine if they showed Khamira in Elsweyr trailer but later on she was not in the game...
So at least an Argonian Companion could fill that gap...
I'm sorry to rain on the parade, but I'd prefer bug fixes and crucial updates to existing systems than more companions.
Enjoy your companions either way

That sounds wonderful, but you know their focus is on selling new content, not making the old content work better.
