still running after close and freezing logins

So I run the updater, select pts, hit play. Bethesda logo flashes, zenimax flashes (as intended), I get to the login screen. Enter my username and password. the screen changes as it attempts to load the char select screen. then it freezes. I'v repaired and uninstalled and reinstalled the PTS. To no avail.




once I close the programs i can still see it running in task manager. somehow its not completely closing. I've noticed this on the live servers too when I exit.

Is this loading issue only happening on the PTS or does it happen live?

If you are loading any add-ons when logging into the PTS server, you may want to try removing them.

• How do I install / uninstall add-ons?
• How do I get rid of my add-ons?

@ZOS_BillE the loading issue is only on PTS. However the updater/program is running regardless of whether live or PTS once its closed. I will try disabiling add-ons and see if that works. will update as to status

That sounds like a multi threading issue to me. Do you have it selected in your options?

I'm not very familiar with the ESO API, but I'm fairly certain it doesn't allow you to spin off a separate process.
