I don't see the problem, I could understand if they were under CP160 but there is nothing wrong with someone being CP300+ Imperial city prison is not even one of the harder DLC dungeons, give them a chance.

Seen plenty of high CP players who performed much worse than lower level players over the years, trying to judge someone on there level alone won't tell you much.

See how the group performs at the first few bosses before even thinking about abandoning a group.

If they were CP160 or under in vICP from the dungeon finder, there would be something wrong indeed! CP300 is required to qualify to draw a vet DLC that way, a holdover from when you would not reach your max stats until you invested 100 CP in each tree.

Wait, you got ICP and you are complaining? That's one of the easy ones. Now when group finder throws you into vFV with a 300 CP, and 2 160 cp's, u can complain.

Ps we had only 2 wipes. Which means CP means nothing to prove a player's competence.

At the very least, do the first boss. That will give you an idea of how things will go.

Not being a jerk and assuming they can't do it. I've run with 300s that out dps 2500 CP players. CP doesn't mean anything. That just means you can sit and grind mobs mindlessly all day long.

The first boss on Vet is pretty much a test for the dungeon. If you can beat it, the rest of the dungeon goes fairly smooth. If the first boss wipes you a few times, just pack it in and leave.

I give the lower levels a chance to prove themselves...if the first trash pull takes too long then I know the dps is trash and I won't bother spending the next hour trying to get thru the dungeon so I leave

vICP is 1 of the easier dlc dungeons though

Agree. You never know, don't make the assumption that lower cp means they're not good at their roles. I've already seen 300cp players with better parses than 1000cp players.

One time I queued as a tank for vet Tempest Island. I was at CP700 at the time, one DPS was at 810(when this was cap) and the other two were CP 200. The 810 refused to even start the dungeon unless the two below "600 CP" dropped. Before I could vote to kick, one of them left, so I also left bc I want going to play with that jerk.

CP does not equal a good player and other than the requirements the game has in place, refusing to run with someone who doesn't fit your artificial requirements is just being a jerk. At least see how first boss goes, as others have said. If you can't get through that then leave. No need to judge based on perceptions before you see them play.

At this point we need some sort of official statement from ZOS pinned that CP doesn't equate skill, it's only a matter of how long/often you play. People really need to quite associating "low CP" with "low skill" because they aren't the same thing in the slightest. You can get CP, which are basically just extended levels, by doing so many things in this game it's not funny. There are a bunch of things that give experience, and people can wrack up hundreds of CP without stepping foot into anything harder than a public dungeon. Which also means you have have 1k+ CP and not know mechanics, even for easy dungeons, or not even be all that great in general.

So yes, give players a chance to prove themselves one way or another. Don't automatically assume low CP is low skill and high CP is high skill. Big numbers don't always mean something.
