Tbh. All Blackwood side quests are top notch. Whoever made them should get a rise. I mean Stibbons quest was awesome, but this is just one of many "gems". Recently I did Farmer's Nook quest (I think it was The Face of Change quest) and this is something that could as well be seen in Witcher 3. In fact that quest felt like something from that game lol. It was that good. It did not felt like a quest in mmo rpg, but rather crpg, it was that good. :D

I found that quest annoying myself. Stibbo was a pain to get into the proper position.

I didn't like it. The one with the Argonian brother and sister did make me laugh though.

That only makes sense if Lady Laurent is also a houseguest.

I wish ZOS would code our companions with the "Stibbons Stay" ability.

If we can make npc's stand on a switch, why not our Companions?!?

OT... That quest was fun. As were most quests in this zone.

Good Job on that ZOS. And more of the same quality please.

The Stibbons quest was brilliant, when there all in the hut worshipping Lady Laurent I did laugh and thought it was very funny. Loved the quest with Alchemy and thought that was brilliant as well.

Only plus of the quest is that thye HAVE the ability to order NPCs around - so it's a template for companion changes

Rigurt and his quests are better for a good laugh imo.

I hate the fact that the same people are all over Tamriel. Zones already aren't big, save for Cyrodiil, and then you meets same people everywhere you go, which diminishes perceived size of the world even more for me.

    No.
IIRC, I don't think she did anything wrong this time, since she was allowed to study the xanmeer in the first place. Stibbons is the one who broke the seal accidentally. She's still an aristocratic snot to everyone though.

Yeah, I agree. It felt more like going out on the playground where all the kids you know are playing, rather than finding a new area. At the end I was half expecting to meed Sahan, Giantborn or some other "old acquaintance". It just felt lazy. Has the creative team lost their zest? :-(

No. I want to see and meet new characters, especially in size and population limited zones. So it's tiring see Lady Laurent and her obnoxious behavior and abuse of Stibbons.
Sure, I like some returning characters just fine, but they don't need to appear in every damn chapter. It makes the world feel so tiny.

There certainly were a lot of recurring characters this time, more so than from previous zones it felt like. There were some unexpected ones though, like those two clothing guys. I thought that was kind of random.

It definitely makes writing easier. I appreciate the continuity. Fundamentally, we're moving through these zones in sequence. They've been growing a lot of characters across zones for years, so it's not surprising. Still, I agree with you. I'd like to see some fresh characters.
Am I the only one who utterly hates that pair? It was a bad joke to begin with, and now it has been beaten way beyond dead.

I appreciate Stibbons's dryness, but the pair gets a bit trite after a while. Like I remember going through the Stirk quest for the first and thinking, "Why does anyone get excited about Lady Laurent? Is there an inside joke here?". The Coldharbour Stibbons line was hilarious, this one, I dunno. Something about it actually was quite sad to me.
Without saying too many spoilers, does Lady Laurent get any consequences back at herself this time and not Stibbons?

    Of course not.

I understand the aristocrat/manservant dynamic they are lampooning, and enjoy some versions (Lord Peter Whimsey and Bunter, for one.)

But I really don't like the version we get with Laurent and Stibbons. Laurent really annoyed me with her attitude towards archaeology in Orsinium. She's in the category of characters with whom Varanis will only work with through clenched teeth

It could use some better programming. Despite the restriction that Stibbons will not go in the water, he will follow you into some of the pools as long as is leashed to you.
