Why do pro StamDKs use Stone Giant in Vateshran?

I saw multiple YT videos of Vateshran trifecta runs on Stamina DragonKnights, and most of them use Stone Giant as their spammable. Why is that? When I use Stone Giant the damage is laughable, especially on single targets like bosses and fights go on for longer, and the damage bonus from its Stagger isn't high enough to make up for its low damage in my experience, so I always use Bloodthirsty instead. What am I doing wrong? Why is Stone Giant better than other spammables (like Bloodthirsty) for Vateshran?

First think that comes to mind is the AoE portion of it, but I honestly don't know. Could also be the range on it helps them to do damage before they close into melee range? Can you link a video?

It also gives you minor brutality and ulti generation.

    So for me:
    Wrecking blow:10k
    Stone giant:8k
    Noxious breath:6k

As far as it goes giant hits spammable standards and in single target it does have an impact, albeit slightly lower then wrecking. But as @EF321 mentioned, it doesn't prove 100% uptime of minor brutality, and more ultimate gen which=more damage sustain. But I've seen people rank with Noxious as a spammable, sometimes it is just what works.

Probably for the same reason sDK was given a spammable in Earthen Heart rather than Ardent Flame (where mDK's spammable is): easily sustained access to Mountain's Blessing.

Ultimate is our fuel on DK. The old Onslaught which restored Ult consumed on a successful kill seemed practically tailor-made for a Solo PvE sDK.

The Earthen Heart Ult Gen isn't tremendous, but it's better than nothing. Ult Gen sets have always been popular on PvP DKs, as now Nord is too.
