yes i already have several lvl 50 characters, and i still have a few under lvl 50... i thought instead of trying to lvl up faster, why not enjoy being under lvl 50 in pvp... particularly cyro...

so what "fun" crafted set would you guys recommend for under level 50?? which 2 sets for both mag and stam pvp??

i currently have my eye on:
- fortified brass
- ancient dragonguard
- diamond's victory
- hunding's rage
- law of julianos
- mechanical acuity
- shacklebreaker
- daedric trickery
- daring corsair

any insights are greatly appreciated..

Either way, Julianos is always nice on a Mag toon. Easy to craft, good buffs. Fortified Brass can help make up for the light armor penalties, at least a bit.

For Stam, Hunding's Rage is always a crowd pleaser. If doing BGS at all, I'd recommend Fortified Brass again, as "smurfing" (like what you're doing haha) is very common there, and you'll find level 25 ish toons hitting like dump trucks.

Shacklebreaker is a very solid 2nd base set for a under 50 PvP character, I used it for both mag and stam characters. If you're going to play multiple characters, I'd make the jewelry in shackle, then complete the set with whatever weapons you wanna use.

For second set, it depends on play style. Hunding is really nice for stam, while Julianos are nice for mag. Fortfied brass is solid if you want to be more defensive.

So you're looking to put together some gear you can run with multiple toons? I do that with my training armor. Only problem really is jewelery. I don't know of a glyph you can put on that will be good for both. So I just made 8 pieces that where versalitle and two sets of jewelery.

Sets wise I'd suggest Shackle plus New Moon. Shackle just gives a bit of everything really and I don't find sustain a problem below level 50 so I don't find New Moons +6% ability cost a problem.

If you want to remain strong you really need to replace gear every 4-8 levels- as you outgrow your gear you get weaker and weaker.

Consider the 3 piece gear sets from the Cyrodiil towns as well. I have some low level Potentates, Vengeance Leech and Ancient Grace jewellery that I use for levelling under 50 characters which is super helpful. Saves on jewellery crafting mats too. You can usually get 1 neck and 2 rings from 5 or 6 boxes, depending on your luck.

For a more outside the box option, I like to use adept rider on lowbies as an alternative defensive set. Mobility is huge in PvP and at low levels access to it can be limited. AR has 2 lines armor, 1 line health, and permanent major expedition. You can even back bar the fifth line and just use it for positioning while on your defensive bar, allowing you to fit a 3 piece set into your front bar.

Last character I leveled wore Julianos with willpower and adept rider.

Why not just get to at least 160 cp and enjoy more build variations and better PvP....

Don’t bother gearing for anything below 50 it’s a waste of mats and time. Play in garbage till you hit level cap then worry about it. The time you “waste” accumulating sets would be better spent pushing to 50. Just my opinion! But if your heart is set on it…. [snip]

I don't want to speak for the OP but for me I actually really enjoy the levelling process. It forces me to use abilities and tactics that I wouldn't normally consider, and that can sometimes give me ideas to try later when they do have a full arsenal. Plus when you take your time you can really feel how much of a difference all your passives and morphs make. Ultimately I appreciate the character more once they are levelled when I can look back and remember what it was like when I was scraping the bottom of the barrel with them to try and find an edge.

Diamond's Victory is an excellent PVE set but I really don't think it will work well in PVP in most situations for most players because its proc requires a bit too much micromanaging.

Daedric Trickery is too often overlooked, but a very good option if you plan to run in groups and provide support heals and buffs.

Mech acuity is very versatile and I like using it on lowbie toons, especially when using blue gear that the toon will level out of quickly, to make up for the lower blue stats.

Both Hunding and Julianos are evergreen sets. Always recommended to novice players or players not settled on their builds.

One set from Orsinium that used to be popular but get forgotten in these days is the crafted set Trial by Fire. Excellant tank/survival/selfish set for lowbies. People nowadays default to Fortified Brass as a craftable option to Pariah, but if you are planning to use some heavy armor pieces for more survivability anyways, I'd consider Trial by Fire. And trust me, in Cyro it will be easy to proc. Elemental status effects are everywhere, especially with so many necros running around.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

ew fortified brass in pvp...nothing says "kill me" like a hard to kill player. I will ignore the zerg knocking at the gate or any objective until I'm standing over the tanky players body, especially when they have someone baby leashed to them

I usually also run Shackle and New Moon if I am leveling a character in BGs. Very powerful combo for under 50.

so i assume the gear will stay green forever, since it will be costly if upgraded above green when replacing gear every 8 levels?

after giving thought on everyone's suggestions, i think i will go with fortified brass and ancient dg... brass will make me tanky, while ancient dg provides damage and tankiness when less than 50% health..

thanks everyone for your suggestions.. definitely gave me some ideas lol...
