Effect
Create a rune of celestial protection and gain Major Resolve for 25 seconds, increasing your Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948. You also recover 242 Magicka every 1 second over the duration. Standing within the rune heals you for 743 Health every 1 second, which scales off your Max Health.



So does this mean no matter where I go, I retain the sustain AND armor, but I only recieve the healing if I'm standing in the rune? Is it true that these three buffs (sustain, heals, armor) only effect the caster and no one else, and that others cannot even see my rune? Also, are these buffs increased by Jorvuld’s Guidance, so the timing would increase to 35 seconds? This wouldn't keep the rune, and therefore the healing, up for 35 seconds would it?

So many questions! Help!

    Others can see the rune too. It affects only you. The resistances and the regen go with your everywhere.
    Heal is only within the 3m circle.
    Major Resolve: Increases physical and spell resistance by 5948, so only this effect should reach 35 seconds duration with Jorvuld's. The others would not.

    1. Yes, the Major Resolve and Magicka Recovery work without standing in the rune. But the heal is just while you're on top of the rune.
    2. They only affect you, and I think that allies can't see the rune unless they have the "show ally effects" setting turned on. The default is them not being able to see it.
    3. The buffs with Major or Minor in the name get buffed by Jorvuld's, yeah. Shouldn't affect the overall duration of the rest of the skill.

    This is what I believe is true—anyone feel free to fact-check.

    I see you have new account, so just to be precise - before last patch this rune had different bonus - while standing in the rune, your major resolve was getting additional 50% bonus, so instead of 6k defense you had 9k (which was useful when you were tanking in less packed armours).

    But in Blackwood patch they replace this bonus with another - 5% health per second, which is also quite good option for tanking (getting additional 2k health per sec is nice boost ;) ) but imho could be... counterintuitive, especially when you compare limited arena of rune with healing aoe like Cleansing or resto skills.

    So basically, this skill is good in pindown defense, but not necessary for solo gameplay or dd as selfheal.
