Volendrung mega cheese

Multiple days in a row, a specific player has taken Volendrung from AD and run it over to Fengrush's zerg to hand it over to them. It's unacceptable not only that this is a thing, but especially that a stream team member is participating in it. It needs to stop.

That sounds like something that should be a bannable offence. Like, anti competitive.

Hardly watch FENG these days but doesn't he pick it up and then goes into a BG and just lets it drop anyway

You'll get a strike for naming and shaming long before a streamer gets told to knock off the shady stuff. An AD player did it just a little while ago. Went from Sej to Brindle and the hammer went blue without a fight.

I don't think they care much about any unethical behavior from people who give them free advertising and hype.

So far the only ban has been for doxxing players.

Yeah, you can "cheat" and run the hammer to your streamer buds, but if you kill them while they are streaming you risk getting your account banned.

It is what it is. Players gonna do what players gonna do.

Well, to be fair, mega cheese is exactly what Sheogorath would approve of.

Just read the TOS. They added this section a while ago.

But yeah. I play AD and I swear this is just how it goes every time, and not in just one campaign--there's a couple where this happens. We get the Hammer, someone in chat asks or suggests nicely to just leave it behind the gates because it never goes well for us when it is run, and someone goes and grabs it, runs it right up to an enemy held keep and drops it. In Ravenwatch (PC) there's one player, someone with a high-ranking AD toon but seems never to do anything but stand around at the gate during certain hours of the evening, and then if no one else grabs the hammer, they do, run it and as soon as they meet enemies, drops the hammer. Not an accusation--just what I've observed as someone who's spent many hours in that campaign. But this sort of thing os causing a ton of tension on the AD side, which I suspect is to the delight of our opponents, with people yelling at each other, or demanding that whoever ran the hammer get blacklisted from guilds, like that will help, as opposed to, you know, alliance locking every campaign because this is BS.

Mentioning previous disciplinary actions will also give you a 3 day warning at least as well. Might want to get rid of that paragraph before a Mod sees.

Their account wasn't actually banned AFIAK.

Weren't we supposed to get different artifacts shaking up Cyrodiil at some point, or was that scrapped?

    None.

It did happen to someone in the PUBG community a couple years ago. That game had enforced rules against stream sniping, which were getting applied to people who were killing Streamers even if they didn't know who they were shooting at.

With ESO? Nope. Or at least, not that I've ever heard.

Yeah, haven't heard anything about that in awhile, though.

Its using streams to gain actionable intel that is against tos from what I recall, not killing streamers. Not sure that is really enforceable. How could they prove it ?

Bleh. Well, hopefully they switch it up with something different soon then! The hammer is getting old. :'(

They are adding a campaign for all that don't like the hammer, procs and CP in the next DLC.
Let's just see how full that campaign is.

Yes, if you talk to Sheogorath after you finish the Volendrung quest, he says there will be other artifact weapons in the game.

They don’t have to prove it. If ZOS thinks you violated TOS then that’s all that is needed.

    Greetings!

As Naming-and-Shaming threads are against the Community Rules, we have gone ahead and closed this thread down.
    • Naming-and-Shaming: We do not allow posts or threads that are created for the purpose of “naming-and-shaming” other community member(s). “Naming-and-shaming” is the act of creating a post to call out an individual or group by name, and making them the subject of public accusation, ridicule and/or shaming. Generally, naming-and-shaming involves an in-game situation and/or Terms of Service violation, which the ESO Community Team is unable to assist with. A certain amount of rivalry and competitive razzing is healthy for any game community, especially one with PVP elements, but naming-and-shaming goes well beyond that. It typically elevates to a point where the subject feels legitimately harassed. We believe that naming-and-shaming posts and threads can be abused and are very harmful to the community. We also don't feel that publicly calling out or accusing others by name on our forums is in spirit of the game or our community. If you genuinely believe someone has violated our Terms of Service, you should report them in-game via the support interface — do not bring the situation onto the official ESO community forums.
It is our policy to read the feedback in Naming-and-Shaming threads and close them, regardless of whether they are constructive or not.

    Thank you for your understanding.
