Why am I asked to pick my Xbox profile each time I play?

I only have one user profile on my Xbox, why do I have to choose it each time I launch the game?

Are you starting the game without logging into Xbox live?

It's been doing this since the update for console enhanced. I also have to re adjust my brightness setting each time I play.

I think you are right. This started happening for me after the next-gen patch that recently released.

Me too, even more annoying than choosing my profile every time

Hoping ZOS fixes these issues in this week’s patch maintenance along with the bug that defaults to switching your microphone on whenever you log in.

I log into my XBOX account, start ESO and also see the message about choosing my profile. I've just ignored the message and gone straight into the game with no problem.

Yes, this has been happening regularly for me, as well. Only since the next gen update. I used to forget who I was, but now this problem has gone away, thanks to the frequent need to remember.

Honestly, I never identified it as a problem. I just assumed that something on the XBox logged me out of my game account.
