How do you aim Warden Scorch? (Console)

414NotFound
Yeah. How.

It seems to go in a line in the direction the character model is facing and not where the crosshair is aimed. Unless I'm walking directly forward or backward, this skill never goes where I want it to go.

Please help. Thank you.

How can I better target enemy players who are moving to the side? It seems I have to turn, walk forward slightly to adjust my facing, over and over, and still miss.

Simple, you don't. People will constantly strafe to avoid anything that isn't auto-lock on target, the shalks will only be useful against a group packed together where it has a chance to hit multiple targets or if you can get the drop on someone. The best way to use it against another player is to cast it then stun or CC them in place as it goes off, the time it takes for them to break free keeps them from moving.

Well it takes 3 seconds for the bugs to attack, and the first second is consumed casting the ability. (1 second global cooldown). So you now have effectively, if you're perfect, 2 ability casts before the strike goes off. I highly recommend making the last ability before the bugs hit be a stun or immobilize so they're locked in place when they surface.

Snares and side strafing can also help in keeping a foe in front of you so the ability lands and deals it's damage.

Cast first, then get in position. With the new ability timer you can see the countdown on when its going to launch even works on the Stamina version with the double burst.
