PS5 performance mode - drastically decreased?

Hey,

so when the ps5 version launched I had an absolute blast for the first few days. During this time I mainly:

- pvp in imperial city during peak time,
- pvp in cyro until peak time,
- Some veteran and normal dungeons.

Fps were super solid, I almost never had any stutter or fps drops.

Now, My fps really stutter and dropping. I had tremendous issues druing:
- dragonstar arena, bombing everything mid,
- Harrowstorms,
- World bosses (one in murkire with only a few others),
- Pvp in imperial city with lots of effects (5-10 players, releasing 3 ultimates at the same time for example I got huge fps drops / freezes),
- Even if I’m just walking around in the dc sewers station I get , if I move camera „fast“ freezes and drops.

Ive Never raided, but since dragonstar was really often a huge freeze show, I can’t really I,amine it. I hadn’t had this freezes with the ps4 version lol on the ps5.
Anyone else did notice this? Maybe I can do anything with my ps5, I never deleted cache or something?

It's just barely better than the ps4 version in group content.
The moment you play with more than 1 player, you are at 25-45 fps. Jumping up and down. Even less in a trial.

But they announced "crispy 60 fps". Maybe if you stay still in overland, next to nothing.

It runs horrible. I srsly don't get why Sony removed cyberpunk from the store because ESO runs worse and has more bugs.

I don't understand much about coding but can't the game be adjusted to modern hardware? I don't believe that freeze show is all Ps5 has to offer.

Plus the input lag. Disgusting. Bar swap lag...

I can't do one parse where I don't miss at least 10 light attacks because it doesn't register.

Hi, been doing tons of trials lately on PS5 and it's actually a lot better after first patch, but still lots of FPS drops.
To be a bit more specific, here's what I noticed since launch regarding FPS in trials:

• Sanctum Ophidia - Didn't do it so far after PS5 version launch.
• Aetherian Archive - FPS drops only if I use templar's cleansing ritual or if it's on Veteran + Hard Mode, when storm atronachs spawn on last boss, any other situation is just fine in there. This was on launch, I still haven't done it after patch.
• Hel Ra Citadel - FPS used to drop a lot on most areas, after patch it's a lot less frequent but still there.
• Sunspire - FPS drops on any boss fight for the majority of the time, specially if again, I use templar's cleansing ritual (maybe something to do specifically with this skill?). This is still happening after patch.
• Asylum Sanctorium - Not much to say here, FPS was already ok in this one, after patch it barely drops.
• Kyne's Aegis - This one was like day and night difference, it dropped FPS a LOT before patch, now it's VERY stable, but still dropping frames and not ideal at all (and still drops a lot more if I use templar's cleansing ritual).
• Rockgrove - Didn't have the opportunity to try it yet.
• Halls of Fabrication - FPS was already ok, now it's a bit better but still drops a bit when there's lots of fire / shock stuff on screen, like on last boss execute phase.
• Maw of Lorkhaj - Same with Sanctum Ophidia, still need to go there on PS5 version to check.
• Cloudrest - FPS was just fine in this one already, weirdly enough, cleansing ritual doesn't seem to drop frames in this one, but it's extremely bright, making it very difficult to actually see AOEs... Didn't do this one after patch.

This was my experience so far with trials on PS5 (as a templar healer), it's getting better though still a bit far from ideal, but let's be positive I guess.
And I noticed that templar's cleansing ritual is causing a lot of FPS drops on different trials, it's very likely to be a source of many FPS drops that people are noticing. Also, templar's shards are dropping frames anywhere in the game during it's animation, it's short (like 1 second), but still there.

The only PS5 issue that you can do something about it so far is if it happens to be freezing on bar swap, just type "/reloadui" on chat and hit send, the game will pop a loading screen and the issue should be gone.

Anything else regarding FPS drops is up to the devs to fix, and yes PS5 is more than capable of running this game just fine at 60FPS, it's definitelly something to do with the game's code, because I did tons of trials so far and the only pattern I saw that could explain FPS drops were that it's more frequent on trials that has a lot of fire or shock stuff.
