Loot 2 treasure chest Endeavor bugged

Make sure you guys check your logs even though it may be too late. My first daily endeavor of the day was looting 2 chest. As I looted the second, "you earned 20 endeavors" never appeared in my log. The cost in the endeavor store is too astronomical to be shorted any endeavors that are actually completed!

    Did you open the chests by actually picking the lock, or by forcing it? I noticed that it only counts when you actually *pick* the lock, not when you use the 'force lock' skill...

    Yeah I did pick it. Opened one on my main, and when I noticed they were giving exp also, I logged on to an alt to do the second. One was registered prior to picking because I don't have forcing on any character. I noticed it said that I completed my endeavor, but it never displayed the "you earned" in my chat log...I scrolled through it many times because I always see the ping for the reward.

    Yeah, I noticed this with the endeavor the other day. I also noticed that forcing a lock doesn't give you any XP, so I'm trying to retrain myself to pick the locks instead of automatically hitting the key that forces the lock.
    I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

    BTW - opening a previously picked chest (because of course some *unmentionables* can't be bothered to clear the stuff they don't want) actually gave me the second chest for the endeavor. I was extremely surprised.

    treasure maps and more importantly - dolmen chests also count. only time I had issues when I forced the locks. that said.. it might be a good idea to keep a record of seals, just in case.

    Fully looting a chest is what seems to actually trigger credit toward the endeavor, so whoever left stuff in that one likely didn't get it from that one.

    Still, interesting to note that credit for the endeavor appears to be regardless of who and how one opens the chest, only who loots the last item out of it.

    I didn't have any issues. I picked the locks manually and completely looted them.

    I too forced the locks on both that I did. I am maxed out on everything in that skill line and rarely have to actually pick the locks. I did one and then checked if it counted, when I saw it did I did another the same way and got my seals.

    Did you do any dolm beforew? Those chests count.

    It's not about "picking" it.. It's about "looting" it.

    I came across a chest that somebody had already opened but left trash in it...

    It counted and I got my seals for it.

    Just FYI......you also get credit if it's chests from treasure maps.

    I got the two chests from Maelstrom arena chests at the end of each arena, so don't have to be picked.

    Yeah, I think the stipulation that the lock actually be picked, not forced, was true for the endeavor the other day, but that one was worded differently-- "Pick 3 locks," I think (I'm looking at Benevolent Bowd's site). I remember wonder if picking the locks on doors would count, but I didn't try it.

    I forced the locks on two chests and it worked. The endeavor is for looting, not picking the chests.

    Even the other day I looted a TG trove and it counted.

    It also counts the chest at the end of a dolmen. No lock picking required. :wink:

    I didn't try the chests yet but the reptile reward is clearly bugged. I killed really a lot of Argonians and only one counted.

    As far as I know chests from dungeons don't work. So keep that in mind.
    Edit: it looks like you have to loot everything from a chest for it to count

    Did anyone who encountered the "bug" clear every chest you opened?
    I fully looted 2 dolmen chests and they're counted, no picking required.

    I don't know then, because I definitely looted more than 2 chests in vVoM and vSCP today, but no credit. Maybe it is zone related?

    You have to completely loot everything from the chest in order to earn the endeavor. At least that's how I did that...
    No improvement on Cyrodill servers -> no ESO plus renewal.

    I looted 2 chests in a public dungeon and got credit. I picked the locks and took everything from the chests.

    Or maybe it is about looting everything? Tied to the chests disappearing? (which mens everyone in the group must loot everything)
