Why no option to customize tails in character creation?

just curious, I was making a khajiit, and was disappointed, they all have this long thin tail resembles a rat tail not a cats, why no option to make them shorter, thicker, or fluffier?
They look so "fake", hadn't realized before, been playing Bretons, and Bosmers.

I was wondering the same thing for a while and it's what kind of turned me off on making one. FFXIV has different Miqo'te tails that at least give you variation between four different types.

Similarly with Argonians, I'd love the ability for better scaling options.

I tried, I made it past the tutorial but that skinny long tail swaying back and forth just put me off, deleting

Someone once called them a pool noodle and now I can't get that image out of my head.

There actually existed at least two Khajiit NPCs in the game with a modified tail for several years now (as far back as Clockwork City dlc in 2017). Hinsora in Rimmen had it last I checked, and Na'Jhargo in Clockwork City used to have it as well but it was removed since then for some reason.

Maaan, that thread had some serious potential for some Crown purchases.

I went to Skyrim to check out Bilbiri's tail, it has a tuft on the end and mighty be a tad thicker, not sure, but it does look better than the stock tail.
