Me personally I realized I can Listen to lots of informational Videos and Work out while doing writs.

Is this topic too much for these forums I wonder ?

It hasn’t. Probably took a few years off my life expectancy tbh.

    "Work out while doing writs."

    ....how?

The game hasn't improved my life. Generally I'd say it's given me plenty of headaches, less hours of sleep on work nights, and kept me from doing my cardio at times cause I didn't want to put the controller down.

But it saved part of my sanity the Summer of '15 when I found it in Gamestop. I was in the middle of Chemotherapy, in a very bad place. ESO gave me an escape.

    I go out less.
    So less chance to get:

    Run over by a car
    Get robbed
    Injuries from sport
    Meet women

Well I met interesting people from all over the world and have fond memories and shared experiences that would not have happened playing a single player game. As much as the game's mechanics and performance frustrates me, without question I am glad I gave the beta a shot oh so long ago.

Pretty simple. You do a set of chest + a set of back, then go do writs on one character. Log out log in to new character, do more exercises

It hasn't in the slightest, except maybe for the feeling you get when the hunger of addiction is stilled every time that title screen shows up after a long day of work.

Is that an improvement though, I wonder...

I've made some great friends from my guild. Playing ESO is something I enjoy. It relaxes me, lets me escape the real world for a while. Time spent doing something you enjoy is time well spent, imo, doesn't matter if it's playing a video game or painting a masterpiece.

It definitely helped me cope with quarantine. Aside from that, it’s good to have one main game, rather than buying a million games I barely play.

ESO hasn't improved my life at all, it's a hobby, I waste time on it.

I believe that we are the ones who have improved the lives of ZOS employees.

On the other hand, I got addicted to World of Tanks 7 years ago and that caused me to break up with my ex-girlfriend, but I was able to meet someone from the clan and also his sister, who has been my girlfriend for 5 years and counting...

    happy ending :)

I think it gave me something other than work to focus on during lockdowns. Can’t say for sure because I don’t know what lockdown would have been like without ESO. I’m pretty sure I would’ve been too preoccupied to read and I haven’t been able to watch TV or films since the whole thing started. There is also the rush of beating something challenging, which for me is probably dungeons. It’s been a great game, despite its current state.

I'm enjoying the Elder Scrolls since 18 years - on and off - it's nice having something to return to which isn't real life. I have this with a bunch of games, which I'm playing for more than a decade. In a way time spent gaming is like a holiday, I immerse myself into a different world, which is still quite familiar - it's like returning to the same vacation location over and over again.

I basically handle it as holiday, my focus is on relaxation and enjoying myself - not seeking a challenge.
