Poll Veteran content or casual content?

I like both depending on my mood. Right now feeling rather casual

I was in a small guild once that did some vet dungeons but my dps was so bad they weren't impressed as we took so long to kill dungeon bosses. After that I took up healing with the intention of doing vet again but lost the motivation. I mostly do a random normal or ordinary quests now and can't be bothered to get the latest armour or weapons. One day maybe I will when I have more time.

Usually I play to relax after work, etc., like most people. But I play ESO on a daily basis as more of a hobby, so I can't say how casual that is. And once in a while I like doing the vet Trials with guildmates.

I bought the game, spent months only focusing on endgame content when i was cp 300.
Focused on lvling up all those things, and out of nowhere BAM all the sets i had transmuted , farmed on vet trials,
Where not meta anymore. And back then we didn't get 10 geodes from a daily dung , or had a limit of 500 , the limit was 100
Tried going back to meta , since relequeen looked interesting.

Just bloody burned out and stopped playing for years.

I come back and they decide to add VMA PERFECTED bows. and i just ragequit because i didn't want to redo vma again.

Now i came back, i decided to just roleplay , chill, do quests, only do normal dungs... and the game is surprisingly good.

I like the casual story content, but wish the Boss mobs had more health so fights lasted longer.

I like vet content cause it helps me feel accomplished at times.

Ive very rarely done vet Trials. Almost always ran them on normal.

I do both.
I have a Stam and Mag version of every class (12 in total) and I've taken them all through vMA and vVH multiple times.
Then there's other days I just do writs and gather all day ..
And everything in between.

Just depends on the mood.

I Like Veteran content

Prefer Vet, just not the sweaty try-hards/speed runners you mostly find in dungeons.

Story bosses with some weight to them would be nice, they feel like "games journalist" level difficulty to me.

In this game, I'm 100% Casual.

I've been all along the spectrum in various games, but in this one I never found a 'home' in which to grow and learn the harder aspects. However, I never explicitly SOUGHT such a home. The first time I really played, my hours were far from conducive to doing so. This time around, I'm either duoing with my husband, and in this game he's very much a flower sniffer who likes to take things really slow (which I'm fine with), or I'm solo. We don't PUG, and we don't do group dungeons (though we might attempt to duo some old world ones with companions eventually). When I'm solo, I also don't PUG, because I feel like my CP level gives an inaccurate representation of my game knowledge, and I really don't want to have to say "I'm actually a newbie, I don't know the mechanics" of most places I'd wind up.

However, despite being (a very clean and presentable) casual, I still hope those that like things challenging can get what they want, too. So I guess my in depth answer is "I like Casual, but I hope this game always seeks to provide Both."

Sorry, but it is what it is. I write this out to let them out or get eaten from the inside out.

So, here's a really stupid idea. A mash up from both Rift and LOTRO.

In LOTRO, players can play monsters for pvp if they so desire.

Rift has these... well... rifts where bad things flood through and go a rampaging around the map.

Soo...

For end gamers and long time vets, lets say, characters with 1000 cp or more get the option to start a Deadra or whatever monster character. They get to start off fairly powerful but not overwhelmingly so. They have a zone where they can level up on their monster character.

And every now and then a rift opens up and the daedra character players can come swarming in on the regular world. The monster players would get some notification so they can be ready when it comes but not know where it will open into (so they can't tell their buddies so they can prestage for the thing).

Then when it's time, the rift opens up and all the monster players click a gizmo and insta port to the opening side of the rift.

It could also work like invasions in Ryzom.

But with real players as the mayhem makers rather than dumb npcs.

Been playing mmorpgs casually for over 10 years except for a couple of times I joined a heroic raiding guild and did progression one tier when I was unemployed. Also joined a PvP guild once and did a rated BG push.

Sounds like stealth overland pvp, which does not get much support in the forums.

I like both.

If it is a dungeon or a pledge, then typically I prefer vet content, for a variety of reasons

1. I like the added challenge
2. I like the drops and the opportunities to get mats and motifs that are rarer in normal

If it is a trial, it's a bit of a mixed bag. I like attempting vet content, as the normal trials I can run with my guild with our eyes closed. But a lot of times the vet content can be far more frustrating than it is enjoyable, and it leaves us in the weird middle ground of having far surpassed normal trial content, but not yet being able to do vet trial content, leaving us with not much that we can fully do. So we do a mix of normal trials and vet trial attempts, both done for different reasons.

So I engage with a bit of both in this game, though I probably lean more towards the vet content.

I love challenging veteran content, but I rarely get to play it. Just hard finding a group that fits my schedule AND has the skills necessary. I spend a lot of time training others. It's amazing what people can do when you explain things to them NICELY.
