Wife cannot read forum; I can

Starting this morning, when my wife browses to the forums, she sees the background image and that's it. No text, no posts, no nothing. She has cleared her cache and tried a different browser and all that kind of stuff. She has seen the cookie preferences banner once or twice.

I, on the same IP, am having no trouble getting in the forums.

I was just having the same issue. I thought it was my router because as soon as I turned off WiFi on my phone the site worked fine on LTE, but that seems like a strange coincidence.

I had a similar issue a while back when I got a 3 day forum suspension, but my account remained logged in for some reason, which it normally wouldn't.
That being said your problem may be different.
Has she tried reading the forums without logging in? That would at least rule out any account related issues.

There's definitely issues going on, especially on mobile.

Just theorizing, but many browsers now come with built-in popup/script blocking on by default. Possibly resetting on updates.

Some antivirus or firewall software can also block script or sites by default.

I'd check there, the forums require a bit of scripting to display properly.

This one can use the forum on her tablet but on the PC all she sees is the background. It has been like this for over an hour.

I would suggest that the Internet CDN used for the forum is not delivering content properly.

Have used more than one browser on my pc and tbat makes no difference.

Same here. Tried both Chrome and Edge, on PC and laptop. None are working.

Phone and tablet ok though.

I can access the forum fine on mobile - the mobile version of it that is - but on desktop it will only load the background.

Issues started for me yesterday evening (5ish PM GMT).

I have tried both my PCs, my VM - which is hosted in France - and a couple of work PCs/macs which have never accessed the forums before.

Using Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari (where appropriate) all yield the same result, only the background image loads.

I'm having this issue this morning on mobile. Tried using different mobile browsers and get the same thing. All I see is the background. Seems to work fine on desktop.

And, oddly, I am still using the site with no issues on my computer in my usual Google Chrome browser.
