Essential Housing Tools Addon Hide UI Problem

I used to use the hide UI option with a bound hotkey to take pictures of my characters and the world.
I pressed my hotkey whilst in a menu and it threw me out of the menu back to "normal play". It didn't used to do this.
I could always get lovely closeups of my character by hiding the UI whilst I was on the character screen or something, but now it just throws me out and won't allow me to bring the menu back up again.
Have I somehow changed a setting to cause this? or is it a new update?
Can I go back to allowing my UI to hide in menus?
* I do use a lot of addons if maybe one of those is causing issues?
** I disabled all my addons and kept reloading my UI until I found the culprit. I have found that it is the Housing Hub part of Essential Housing Tools that is causing the problem
