😥 the post image url drop down thingy isn't working for me on mobile

You wrap the image url inside

[img][/img]

For example,

[img]https://image.url.png[/img]

You can also click on the Housing category, and then just click on any thread. It gives you an upload photo button, so you can upload straight from your phone. Then just cut the link and post it in whatever thread.

you upload your image to any public images hosting site (like imgur) and post the BBCode from there
you cannot link the images at your computer/mobile storage without uploading them first.

Was trying to link a gif earlier and just wouldn't work with built in features.

People try to copy entire links and go right past the image file with extra extensions in the url. It needs to stop at the image format such as jpg gif or png.

I thought of that too. I legit don't know why it doesn't work for me with built in tool on mobile.

.gifs are a little finicky. If you're using imgur, it will pretty happily convert .gifs into .gifvs, or .mp4s, which the forum cannot handle. For example, that shot of Alexander Sidding I posted defaults to an .mp4 on Imgur, however, you can manually change it's file format by altering the URL (on imgur.)

There's also a maximum file size for .gifs, after which the forum just goes, "nope," and pukes itself to death. I forget the exact size, but I've run into it a few times with longer reaction .gifs.
