Crotch Flaps need to go!

Chest pieces do not need crotch flaps. They always clip with legs. We can't have legs AND chest pieces using crotch flaps. Why is it like that. That's a clipping nightmare!
A suggestion I saw that made a lot of sense is that all crotch flaps become part of waist buckles instead so that way it can be controlled whether you have one or not.
Otherwise a player sits and has to try a chest piece with every leg piece to find one that doesn't clip!

I know this topic has been done to death but it is so hard to find a nice chest piece to put on my characters when they all have aprons and hip shields. They don't look nice or functional so I can't for the life of me understand why they do this on every motif.
They must know how everyone feels about it by now so at this point they're basically just trolling.XBOX-NA / PC-NA

Make them TOGGLE-ABLE, like hiding the helmet, don't just get rid of them, I like the Nighthollow ones! Same goes with the tassets, shoulders. If I can already hide my helmet why can't I hide anything else?!『-Astra inclinant, sed non obligant.-』3 -

✭Yay! A new flap thread! Haven't had one in a while. And they are still as hideous as ever, and much hated by the player base.
I wish ZOS would finally bother to comment on this. As others have noted, we've been complaining about them for years now. Why do they insist on adding them to everything - well almost everything - when so many of us are disgusted by them. And they look stupid, especially when sitting or riding.
As for hiding them... Not sure that is possible. Depends on how the skeleton they use for their models work. Turning parts of a mesh on and off might not be an easy thing to add to it. The hide helmet options been in the game since start, and the whole thing was designed with that option in mind. I mean, we never did get a hide shoulders option eitehr, despite how much people been asking for it. And with flaps it's not even the whole item in the slot, it's just a part of a mesh.
If that is true, and there's no way to turn them off, then please, for the love of all that is good and decent int the world, stop slapping flaps on everything.Edited by Hymzir on June 23, 2021 7:07PM3 -
sunspinner✭✭As a girl who plays this game, I'd like to find armor (hell even a costume!) that doesn't make me dress like nun or a man (i.e.the crotch flap). The best I can come up with is the Graht-Climber's...MAYBE Mazzatun style. They make body markings that can't really be showcased with current armor/costume styles. And I like the idea of the crotch flap being toggled or making new styles that don't incorporate it.0
