What if there were sets for dmg vs monsters and other sets for dmg vs human players

Imagine if by doing normal world quests ,bosses you dropped sets that only do dmg vs players , or only protect you from players.

There's a insane amount of unused sets ,that maybe only new players use on early lvls, these could also be reworked to be pvp sets.

Like that one that gives you extra dmg after you kill someone with blade of woe. Does someone even use that one? Instead of adding a new set, they could rework it to be used on pvp, like saying after stealth and you melee hit a enemy player from the back your dmg is increased by 10% against pvp players

That should be sets which drops from PvP, like IC, Cyrodiil and Battleground rewards, not from PvE. It's time to separate those two activities.

There's already sets that affect pvp only. Marksman set increases bow abilities against players. Heartland reduces damage from players by 3% and siege/aoe by 10%. Potentates reduces damage from players by 3%. Valiant reduces damage from players by 3%.

As for damage vs monsters, there's pve sets that give you Minor Slayer which does that.

Do you really think they will put all that effort for PvP only?
They are just milking PvP players putting some OP set every new DLC with zero effort.

    I don't think they'll do this.

PvP players still buy most pve content to get sets from there.

They outright buy chapters and keep ESO+ subscription for dungeons.

If they had PvP only sets that you get from PvP, that were better than those people get from pve, they'd probably lose money.

It is kinda silly that most PvP sets are outclassed by everything else for PvP. Like what sets that you get from IC, BGs or Cyro are actually that good?

A handful are decent, with Vicious Death being the only one that is used a lot. The rest are pretty bad though

One or the sets you get in PvP is barely used there, and it instead BIS for stamplar DPS in PvE.

I'm not against separate sets, but can't see ZOS doing it.

Although I like what they're doing with IC monster sets. Introducing monster sets which are aimed for PvP. Apart from the one where you have to stand still. I don't know what PvP play but standing still is usually the worst tactic you can have to stay alive.

With how many sets we have in the game now, there's bound to be a lot that are not used.
That being said, zos has gone back to revisit older sets to make them more appealing time and time again.
Trainee, willpower etc all got adjusted to bring them more in line with newer sets.
At the same time, there are a lot of sets that kinda do the same just from a different angle.
Care in point, pure dmg sets like war maiden, that are usually outclassed by penetration sets.
As others have said, zos makes money on pvp players buying dlcs and doing pve content for sets, so this divide would likely never happen.
They never figured out how to monetize pvp, so stuff like this and cosmetics are their best bet to make us pay.

Pve and pvp should been 2 separate games. When you start game you can choose to go pve or pvp. Like now only problem and error and nerfing sett.
Have fun and dont be rude. Im Norwegian so im sorry for my spelling, but hope u understand.

PVP and PVE specific sets already exist...that is not the problem. The problem is that THOSE SETS ARE NOT RESTRICTED TO PVE OR PVP. In particular, PVP players will latch onto a set designed with PVE in mind, make some some cancer build that allows them to tower farm all day long without dying, then other PVP players will cry about dying to it, and ZOS will listen to the squeaky wheel and nerf the set...destroying it for its intended us(PVE). Its stupid, the stated reason is that they want people to be able to hop into PVP with whatever set they are wearing and go to town...but the fact is, if you go into PVP wearing the same gear and running the same skills you do in PVE, you are going to get destroyed by PVP builds...its a MAJOR contributing factor as to why a lot of PVE players hate PVP...they are simply not built for the content. Keeping that in mind, PVE players trying PVP for the first time would have a MUCH better experience if they wore gear and used skills specific to PVP. Sure, they would still be destroyed by more skilled players....but having PVP restricted sets and skills would narrow the gap quite a bit.

As to how to monetize PvP I would pay a subscription for a server that works, as I bet many others would.
But I seriously doubt they are losing money in the first place.
