Console Enhanced update crashes to desktop a *lot* on XBox Series X

Just got my series x, played 5 hours or so, 3 guild dailies on 6 toons. No crashes. Had it set to performance for most of the time.

Still happening. Have we had any acknowledgment from ZOS? When it stutters before the crash it sure seems like a memory leak. This seems to happen in particular in Cyrodiil. On the other hand the crashing between zones is instant and without warning.

On the series x can go pretty much all day and crash maybe just once. On the ps5 i crash more often and then also have more bugs, like for example on ps5 when you hit an enemy the damage numbers show up way off like top left of the screen whereas series x doesnt have that bug and feels a bit more stable. The hdr looks better on ps5 though.

Seems to happen often to me when exiting a BG on my XBsX

This looks familiar to me. I bought the Series X about two weeks ago, and I've had more crashes during those two weeks than ever before. The symptoms described are also familar. The game will start to stutter, and if I keep playing, it will either crash the game, or the entire console. If I log out, and do a hard restart of either the game or console, nothing will happen. I even thought the other day that this might be a memory leak. Also, it sometimes crashes while exiting the champion point screen.

I've played strictly on performance mode since the update to series x and i have only had one crash.

Only played for about an hour yesterday and had three crashes on PS5 running in fidelity mode. Mostly when zoning out of BGs.

I’ve had the crashing bug on the PS5 since the enhanced version of ESO dropped

If I’m in Cyrodiil on my main character, I’ll maybe get 1 crash a day
.. yet, if I’m on a PvE character & questing, I can expect to crash every 15mins

The crashes are more prolific with exiting delves &/or doorways from quest areas

Pretty much, I’m going into Cyrodiil on the PS5 enhanced version, in performance mode .. & for PvE questing, I’m exiting ESO, switching the game version to PS4, the re-logging .... but tbh, I’m sick of doing that already, yesterday & today I just shut ESO off at the first crash

Happens on the Series X regularly. 3 to 5 times a day, easily.

Very annoying. The game performance is generally great now on Series X, but it's very unstable at the moment.

I've never seen so many crashes in this game since I started playing at release.

I only want to tell you that now, since the last patch for Xbox, I had no more crashes.

I hope for you everything work fine too

    Same on ps5

I have not had that happen to me on PS5. Porting is really fast.

Can confirm this is happening on my Series X a good 2-3 times a day, always when porting between zones, using a door or leaving an instance.
It got a bit better with the last patch, but is still more common than on the non-optimised update of the game.

It is usually preceded by a few seconds of stuttering or lag, as if the game is running out of memory.

This is still happening, it’s very frustrating to be kicked every other dungeon because your game freezes and or crashes one out of 3 dungeons. When you are waiting a half hour to que in the first place. Then you have to wait the “ You have que’d too recently “ penalty. Is there a plan to fix this?

Game seems pretty stable for me and everything loads up faster and looks better then ever.

60 fps is a game changer as well.

Same here - it would be interesting to find out if those having issues are running in the same mode or not (and whether changing modes improves matters)

Not sure if this might help.

I play in Performance Mode and I haven’t had any crashes recently. I had a few when Console Enhanced was released but not in the past few weeks, probably since the last patch update.

I have other serious problems with CE but not crashes.
