Molten Whip Should Proc off of Itself

Why not? Crystal frag does. Shalks cast twice. No reason why every fourth whip shouldn’t be the strong one. This would fix people’s issue with whip and give dk some sort of execute. The current spamming other ardent flame abilities is such a poor design. No one spans dots, especially at the cost you all set. This is an easy fix to kill many birds with one stone.

    I agree, currently how it works - requireing spamming dot abilites - is just stupid.

    ZOS likely wouldn't allow it and probably thinks that is OP for some reason, just like when power lash was able to work in a similar way to uppercut right now in the past.

    ZOS said it was "too strong," and nerfed it, then two years later gave the skill spam for stun mechanic to dizzy swing. Also to stone fist.

    How's that for balance consistency...?

    You’re totally right. They gave away a ton of our ***. Said fossilize range was too op and gave it to rune prison etc. Nerfed wings to half the damage mitigation. Gave wardens crystallized shield that mitigates 100 percent and turns it into ultimate. Like wtf guys?

    They wont change molten whip. Not because the current proc requirements suck but because of PVE dps. They don't think it would be too strong or anything they just wont change a class spammable's dps unless 1 + 1 no longer equals 2. Game is balanced for PVE dps, not pvp.

    That's why almost 100% of classes unique buffs are gone. Every class is a copy of another. Makes dps easier to balance.

    While I agree with the spirit of this idea (e.g. that Molten Whip is wonky and unsatisfying to use) going this route would require a new means of using up the stacks and I'm not sure what the solution to that would be.

    Every DK skill should be able to stack seething fury.

    I agree Ian, although I’ve had success this update with Empowering Chains—> Engulfing Flames—> Burning Embers—> Molten Whip. Just throw in a petrify somewhere, LA weave, and add Ferocious Leap as necessary. I was surprised how well it worked the first time I tried it, just disintegrated this poor guy 1v1 without an ult even.

    Super into the shattering rocks morph over fossilize this update too, HoT up before attack and you have some healing built in while you dps. Now just need to settle on what gear I want to run with this lol.

    They do but Molten Whip > Skulls all day, everyday.

    Not only is the damage with three stacks enormously higher but Whip is buffing your Spell Damage as well.

    Definitely not saying that Whip can't be improved but Skulls also need a buff as well for both Magicka and Stamina.
