    Hello fellow adventurers,

It used to be OK before Blackwood came, but after some of the updates my templar healer is barely playable.
All main skills (shards, ritual, orb..) are insanely bright to the point I am not able to see anything during a fight and my eyes hurt.
Especially Cleansing titual is like turning lights on.
I tried to adjust settings, but there is not much options, even on the worst setting I just superbright pixels.
My PC should not be the issue - my GPU is NVIDIA GE Force RTX2080 SUPER and all runs on max quite smoothly.

Do you also have this or do you know what to do to fix this? I would appreciate any suggestions.

The picture from AA says it all :s

I think this might be an issue on your end actually.

I see no change in the brightness of my templars skills.

Maybe have a look around in the video options see if anything helps.

The issue is the same on my husband's PC though. We tried all possible settings from lowest to max - nothing had any effect on the "shiny parts".

I also noticed that when the ritual is cast on people it goes nuts (more then when I am alone).

you've all updated your gpu drivers lately?

i don't get this issue, only setting i see that's different is screen space GI. doesn't mean anything, just the only thing different.

I keep the drivers up-to-date, but as I mentioned, we have this on two different PCs.
As for the settings we tried various options (like all of them) from superlow/none to ultra. No difference in the bright effects being too bright :( .

Yeah ritual is pretty horrible to look at lately. I just got the series x in time for the update and I actually had to change my enemy aoe colors to something darker because the ritual aoe is just too bright now. It especially sucks in vCR when you're trying to see stuff like roaring flare.

This does seem unplayable. I haven't experienced this and I use these skills a lot, must be specific trials.

My potato doesn't allow me to play on Ultra but I didn't notice any excessive brightness. Well, except on Nova, that skill has been always outrageously bright, event after the the update many, many years ago, that reduced it

Having this issue as well since Blackwood. Have spent a lot of time trying different things to get rid of it. It's detrimental in trials as when you are grouped up you simply can not see anything else but this giant glow. Tried every graphic setting and even tried old video drivers in case that may have been the issue. Nothing helped. Other templar friends have raised the same issue.

I don't play a Templar so I haven't seen this yet, but I know there are several other instances of bright flashing white lights that cause many players pain, and these have also been brought to ZoS's attention numerous times.

I have played several MMO's through the years and this is the only game that flashes bright white lights in our faces. It is not necessary and they really need to tone it down... a lot.

Are you using an NVIDIA card and a monitor that supports HDR? With recent NVIDIA driver updates, I noticed Windows washing out colors with brightness if HDR is NOT enabled in the OS.

*Im running a 2080 TI FYI. Not enabling HDR in the OS was working fine until recent driver updates.

I'm running a 750ti with drivers from 2016 (last stable version for this card) and I'm having the same problem since Blackwood came out. And this is the only skills that's broken, all other SFX looks normal.

It’s an issue on PS4/NA now (no changes to game settings that I made) so it’s definitely something that was changed by the latest patch for us.

I still have the same issue and I tried everything. Game settings, monitor settings, AOE colors, nothing works. This is plain ridiculous. Game has to get fixed ASAP

Have similiar issues. Can't do group content much hurts eyes.

Problems when going into houses because they are black inside.

Deleting shader cache (like every damn day!) helps this some.

I checked my gamma and it reset ingame and it was left to right last time I did it, but now it is right to left o.O
    So yeah, turned that down...

Check your gamma setting make sure yours did not also get swapped (cannot even imagine how this happened? o.O)

Are you using them in 12 group trials? Because so far experience shows that the brightness increase is related to how many people are in your group affected by the skills and how much they stack on you inside the templar skill ground effect, so if you're only soloing overland alone you not going to see this...
