What if the Dungeon Finder put teams together based on skill level?

    Again with this?

The solution to your whole complaint lies with you.

Make your own Guild/Team, and you won't need to be here complaining.

    Jeesh!

    ^This

Or have a separate mini server where all the frustrated skilled players can assemble together and leave the rest of us to just play and have fun.

There is two things wrong here because you probably don’t know.

First, skill based matchmaking for a PvE environment will just separate players. You’ll be waiting a long time, lesser skilled players will be have quicker times but won’t be able to complete the content.
This creates a toxic barrier of entry. Which when something becomes toxic, the community will reflect it. So, you’re advocating for a feature that is literally toxic in nature. If this was PvP skill based system then it’d be different but you’re suggesting it for PvE.

Second, the average skill of the average player is extremely low. Do you know, why? It’s because of the the over reliance on weaving and weapon swapping. These create “skill” gap but it’s at the complete cost of build diversity and RPG freedom. Where’s a simple bow stealth build? Duel Sword Duelist? Magical Melee? Hybrid Magic/Sword? The game tries funnel all players into doing combat “mechanics” that are not fun for the vast majority of players.
Hence average players doesn’t hit past 15-20k. (The average player probably hit 5k max) Why? It’s because doing so is not fun.

So, no. Even if implemented. It would just add more toxicity to the community, it’d create and amplify an artificial barrier of entry, and last but not least. It would drive lesser skilled players (the vast majority) to not compete in this games endgame. Which is what you want players to do. That means less DLC sales for vet content.

If you want better PUGS and more players in vet content. You’d have to improve the average player and lessen the gap between average and good. How would you do it? You remove the need to weapon swap and weave in more difficult content. You alter content to be less about dps. In short, you have to accommodate and balance around your average players. Hardcore/Good players focus-ed games always have less players, much more toxic environments, and rarely keep games afloat by themselves (money wise).

Mods are free to close my thread, my idea seems to give people a minor heart attack, and we can't have that.

Some players really can do it solo. I can do it solo.

But some one needs standarts for RANDOM players to close it with group of 4.

May be you are not in some ones standarts too ?

Why some one wants his standarts be rule for others again ?

Play like you want and do not blame others that they do the same.

It is random !!! You can vote to kick or do your own group.

With strange rules, where 4 people pass some thing other do solo.

New random dunguan meta, from some random guy again.

Because of that meta you do not have enough tanks and good dds by the way.

No one wants to play tank buff bots and buff some other DPS damage.
    Like META wants.

But yes some one do like - let them do it -ok.

Uhh, why do you guys play multiplayer game and group content in it, if it is soooooo difficult to play some random dungeon. Why bother honestly? If stuff like that bothered me, i would never enter a dungeon. Just play something else and be happy. Peace

would prefer if it was possible that they'd match based on mentality rather than skill level.

in every mmo i've played, i'd take a group of brand new players that don't know fights but want to learn it vs that one dude flipping out he wants only 15 year veterans of the game in his group after one wipe in entry level group content.

This system is already in the game: Guilds and Friends Lists.

Don't pretend this suggestion is anything to do with helping lower skilled players, it is all about the OP wanting to cherry pick the players in his or her group which is fine it is their group after all.

Like all the rest of the "I want a random dungeon but not random player" ideas the solution is simple and has been in the game since its creation: Form your own group from friends/guildies.

You have a simple solution. I read your other thread yet you opened another thread on this topic. This is total elitism on display at its finest. The simple solution is "form your own group" magical, you now have a group that fits your definition. You have been given the tools. This is why I will never use the group finder ever. I am so glad I have a good guild where I am not judged. Guess what I don't watch trial videos on YouTube but we have a guild leader who actually teaches us and he does a wonderful job. I have been playing games a long time and this going to YouTube to learn the mechanics all the time makes me sick. Why is it wrong to learn about a game by you know playing it? This is not rocket science, this is a video game not some great accomplishment you can put on your resume. Most people play games to have fun not make it a second job.

If they were to do it, I'd say they put the groups together based on achievements. Though im sure there are some drawbacks to that.

At least veterans will be less likely to leave the group due to inexperience at least.
