Hey,

Ive played ESO on console since Beta on and off, always in 30 fps. Now for the first time I play eso in 60 fps after all those years and for the first few moments I was like wtf is going on, felt like a different game and my eyes couldnt really follow.

Performance mode feels super cool, really like that gj zenimax!

Yeh, it felt weird at first.

    Really liking it though.

Fidelity mode gets pretty laggy in places though. Unless you're doing questing or something casual, I'd recommend performance.

If you want a laugh, try fidelity in pvp at prime time. Feel like I'm looking at an etch a sketch

I always felt like the game was broken when playing ESO after playing a game that already ran at 60fps. It's a very welcome upgrade, one I've been looking forward to more than Blackwood.

It’s because its really blurred effects. Depending on where you are this is more significant

As an example any area that has lots of trees, foliage or building structures while moving fast.

This was an issue on another game Conan Exiles until they allowed a setting to remove screen shake. What is likely happening to you as with me is our brains are feeling slightly off kilter…which is why PC has all those settings because everyone has a different setup.

Even tho the consoles are similar they also different enough that our TV and unique setups will have a wider range of impact. ZOS continues to use a narrow approach to consoles. I don’t think we should have all the settings PC has but for sure there needs to be…maybe more than just Fidelity or Performance

I mean who thought that was a good idea…not really asking

Haha, this was me when I first saw the game on high settings on PC. I always played on minimal, and only raised settings to take screenshots. But once I forgot to lower them again after the screenshot and got into combat with my sorc, and got a jump scare when my skills hit, I was like 'what's happening?!', I had never seen visuals in high settings

If you think 60 fps is a whole new game, wait until you see it in 144+ fps.

I love the 60 fps and 2 seconds load screen. I just wish they also had a 1080p 120fps version for it too. Specially in cyro and trials where having extra graphics isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Wow 60fps! Not like I'm playing in 144fps from years. Good for you console players! And now you even have ssd disk, sick!

You'll get used to it. And once you do you'll never be able to go back to 30fps.

I'm still smiling from the update! Performance mode is great! Everything runs so much more fluid. Also, load screens are nearly cut in half!!!!

**Oh aside from the new enhanced update I have to say Ability timers has been one of the better if not the best QoL improvement we've seen (sticker book is right there too) for a while. We've been spoiled lately and I'm not complaining, lol.

Lol @ the PC players coming in here trying to flex with higher frame rates in a desperate attempt at being relevant. Hey, this thread isn’t about PC, and we don’t care about your silly little glorified type writers!

This thread is about his amazement at what gaming at 60 FPS looks and feels like. We're telling him that he's still only in the shallow end of the pool, wait until he actually goes in the deep end. It's bliss my friend.

I have found the relative difference from 30 to 60 to be much greater in playability and visual smoothness than going from 60 to 144.

I know 144 is better and I can certainly feel the difference, but it just doesn't change the game like that jump from 30->60 for me.

Yeah our will all work differently from each other. I found the jump from 60 to 144 massively noticeable. Now when I hop back on a 60hz screen, my eyes bleed. I just jumped again to 165hz, but that was a less noticeable change. My next stop will be 360hz, and I am sure diminishing returns will start kicking in after 240hz.
