I'm aware there's a lot of things non-subscribers
can do during a free trial, but I'm curious about what you as an individual actually choose to do when one comes up. (Specifically talking to people who don't normally subscribe of course, I'm aware that for subscribers it doesn't make a difference, except maybe losing the option to get easier daily dungeons by including a non-subscriber in the group.)
Because I buy all the DLC I want to play I've found that free trials are fairly uneventful for me. I have a quick check through all my costumes to see if I want to change any dyes (and this time I've got a new character so I'll have to dye all the ones she's using) and I use the combination of double bank space and materials moving to the craft bag to have a big clear out. I put everything which isn't character bound into the bank, then each character withdraws only what they actually use and then my crafter (who also managers the guild store) sorts out what's left over. I usually end up selling a bunch of potions and other consumables which I picked up without even noticing to merchants.
But that's pretty much it. Sometimes I have extra furnishings to add to houses (once it was 200 books, all in one go...then I had to arrange them
).
I always feel like I'm missing something, but most of the things I see recommended like rushing around DLC zones picking up skyshards or unlocking the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood skill lines are irrelevant to me because I can do that any time. So it made me curious about what other people actually do with a free trial compared to the hypothetical situation of someone who never normally had access to any of the DLC.
